At that age, make sure you have something fairly simple, and/or that you have lots of helpers--I used to teach preschool Sunday school many years ago, and can recall having to do some of the crafts for them because they didn't have the manual dexterity to do them. Also--lots of variations on their motor skills at that age, so again--have lots of helpers! And maybe some old over sized shirts to put on over their clothes if it's something that may be messy--and those are usually the fun ones, too! I love the little cheap plastic tablecoths you can get in the party section at Dollar Tree to use as dropcloths or table cloths--at $1 each, you can afford to just bundle them up and throw them away later if you need to--much cheaper than even most paper tablecovers.
