I've been asked if I was my daughter's grandma but I'm not one yet...hope eldest holds off on making me one for another couple of years...at 43 I'm not ready to cross that bridge yet!

Call it age denial if you want.....
According to my inlaws the bridge is worse if said grandchildren are about to get a learners permit or graduate high school. Like my 15 yr old for example. My mother in law said something about how old I would be when my 6 yr old graduates and I reminded her how old she would be when that happens and she wanted no more of that discussion.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I did not get a chance to log in all week.

I am Daniel Mount.

I started this a year and a half ago when things were getting too slow on the forums. I never expected it to last this long, but it has been fun. Please accept my apologies for the delay.

Thank you!

I have had a lot of fun--perhaps too much fun, some might say--the last year and a half. And yet to my knowledge I never said anything untrue.

Question: Should I keep posting under this username from time to time? Or is it a moot point now that everyone knows?

L5FanLady,

Well, you promised not to tell, so I will let you know who I am.

About a year ago, the threads were getting kind of boring. We could go whole days with a few posts. Everyone was commenting on how slow it was. So I decided to register this profile to liven things up a little with a touch of mystery.

I am...Daniel J. Mount.

I'm thinking of announcing my identity at the Forums Lunch at NQC next year. But since you're one of the people who guessed closest, I thought I'd let you know early on the condition that you keep the secret until then.

By the way, did you tell jlpoll and MissGizmo who you thought I was? If so, I might need to enlist your help to get them off the scent so that I can keep this a surprise until NQC.

Amerigrandpa

Thanks for coming out of the closet Daniel.

You sure fooled me. I really thought that Amerigrandpa was a well known singer active with a SG group (either that or Qtman).

Personally, I don't see any point to continue posting as Amerigrandpa now that we know he is you.

However, that is a cool avatar, and maybe you could use it under your real name.

Maybe you could use the user as an alter-ego...may be someone who would argue with you (Daniel) from time to time. Kind of like Bizaro Superman, except it would be Bizaro Daniel. Sound fun?

Daniel I can assure you that Tina did not tell me who you were, but I did figure it out awhile back. It is hard to keep a secret from someone who has to figure out who did what. Also remember it is hard to stump a schoolbus driver too. They have a nose for such things.

Keep the username just to ask yourself questions on the Dr. Daniel thread. You'd obviously know every answer and you'd look like a genius to all the newcomers and the ones who've not kept up with the Amerigrandpa saga.

What's the matter Ms. Giz, your nose letting you down?

I am also curious if Daniel is behind Amerigrammy.

I am neither behind nor in front of Amerigrammy.

Me too. More than 100%. Probably 1000%.

To clarify Daniel, I only meant that in the sense of revealing a secret. I thought that you weren't up on popular culture anyway.

I was going to start a poll if you chose to not tell. These were the options for your real identity:

1. George H. W. Bush
2. Henry Kissinger
3. The Unabomber
4. D.B. Cooper
5. Osama Bin Laden
6. Wayne Newton
7. Lee Iacocca
8. Bill Gates
9. Benny Hinn
10. Ed Koch

However, you chose to reveal yourself, so I didn't get to post it.

I'm kind of sad about it.

What a surprise!

I've been reading the forums for over a year and I never would have guessed that Daniel was the type to deceive people like that.
