Well, this shift must at least seem to occur in order for the events in the bible to come together at the end. After all, there will have to be a common belief system that will allow mass manipulation, and that cannot be achieved with straight extremism. All must seem to flow to a middle ground.

I see it in a much more optimistic light, not the loss of millions to Dispensational "end time" phobias, but the opening of millions of hearts to the hearing of the Gospel.

very interesting...i am not a world traveler but was fortunate, while in the Navy, to have visited a few different nations, including the old Yugoslavia...one thing i took away from the experience was that the majority of people, whoever they may be and wherever they may reside, pretty much desire to live and let live, an idea which extremism hates and does not seem to understand
