Honestly, I have none. I'm totally in the middle. For awhile I was thinking girl. Then I had no idea. Now once in awhile I think boy. Mostly, I have NO idea. Which for me, makes it even more fun.

Purejoy (Kati?) I think you are nuts for being surprised!

I am way way way too much of a planner not to find out the sex of the baby, I am already going crazy not knowing! I have a very strong feeling it's a boy but I really want another little girl so we shall see. If it is a boy we have pretty much decided he isn't going to have a name. We can not for the life of us think of a boy name that we both like!! It has to be simple, not too popular, and not unisex... I can't believe how hard it is to pick a name!!!

As far as red raspberry leaf tea goes it seems everywhere I research says different things so I guess I will just email my midwife and see what she says.

Chelsea- Too funny! You probably think I'm even more nuts after my last post! I am so excited about the surprise part. I really am. I was just thinking the other day how (for me) it seems like it would be less exciting if I already knew what this little one was. At least if it's a boy we have a pretty solid name picked out. Girl...there are lots of options!

Lol, we crossposted. I hate surprises *a lot* like to the point of I won't watch a movie without going online to find out how it ends. I won't enjoy it if I don't know what happens at the end. I am sure it will be a very special moment right after baby is born when both you and hubby are like "what is it, WHAT IS IT!!!???!!??!!" and then saying GIRL! or BOY! I'm sure it will be a very special moment... we will have ours at the ultrasound

I'm pretty sure we are total opposites in that area, Chelsea! It would drive me CRAZY to know what happened at the end of a movie or book. Like, I would almost not even watch it if I already knew what as going to happen. How funny.

Yes, yes we certainly are total opposites! I would never tell anyone if they didn't want to know the ending but I am much happier to know. Oddly enough though I never read the end of a book first, that kind of surprise doesn't bother me. I really am weirder than you all thought.

So someone tell me that morning sickness is like a bad cold... it is going to get worse before it gets better right?? RIGHT!!??!!??

We're in the same boat, except we're having a girl. We already decided that a boy would be Joshua Charles, but we're totally lost on girl names. A lot of names we like, combined with our last name make very awkward acronyms. Plus, dH and I have very different ideas about girl names.

Lol Ruth, maybe she will be one of those 'baby girl a' babies after she is born until you can find a name! We had a few of those when I was working in the hospital and parents couldn't agree on a name.

I still have some hope at least, it is possible that I'm having a girl... I really doubt it because I have such strong boy feelings but I sure want another girl! I think I am going to have to give up thinking about it and just ask Jesus what He thinks the baby's name should be. That is what I did with Mary and I heard the answer loud and clear!

Baby has taken to pushing a foot out, way out of my belly lately. I keep thinking "hey, the door is at the bottom, push out of that spot!"

When the baby dropped my belly got smaller, now it looks like it's getting bigger again. Can I just say that I am so uncomfortable? He just keeps getting lower and those sciatic pains are stronger and longer. I am constipated now, I think it's because he's sitting on my rectum and I've got way bad hemmies. I want him to come out. I am beginning to feel desperate. My midwife will strip my membranes and I'm beginning to think I should let her. I am starting to get discouraged. But I must say that today is the same day I went into labor with Nadia, with no pre labor at all, I had her at 39 weeks and 1 day. I have had about 3 weeks of pre labor now, and I mean painful contractions too.

Chelsea, the pic of your little girl reminded me I forgot to buy a bath puff today at the store. I have this wonderful lavender body soap that I want to use and I don't have a puff to use it! It's stuff like this that is sending me over the edge.

And I had such a great attitude about all of this yesterday, what happened?

I think I just need a hug.

How about Henry? Paul? Joel? Micah? Hmmm... There are lots of good "simple" Bible names.

Oh darling, I wish I could do something for you!!! Just remember, all these yucky things at the end are helping prepare you for labour! That is what my midwife says. The more miserable you are at the end of your pregnancy the more motivated you will be to get the baby out! I had sciatic pain with Mary for a few weeks, I'm so sorry you are dealing with it right now. You can do it, you are so close to the end, hang in there a few more days!!

Kathryn - you are almost there! You are so close! You can do it - just take it one day at a time and try to keep your mind occupied. It won't be long at all now, even though it seems like forever right now. I don't know if this works for everyone, but for me it helps to pick a date that is three or four weeks after the due date and keep telling myself that the baby will definitely be here by that point in time. That way my mind is thinking about the distant date instead of the closer due date.

My heart is heavy this morning. A friend of mine from my mommy group looks to be loosing her baby at 26 weeks pregnant. I only have a few details, but I'd want to preserve her privacy anyways. She's in the hospital now, and I should hear more within the coming week.

A baby at 26 weeks can survive (just ask some of Isaac's roomates) Is she delivering or is something else going on? (You dont have to tell if you dont want to). Praying for her.

Yes, I know it is sometimes possible for the baby to live, but many times it isn't.

All I know is that there were problems with the delivery of nutrition from the placenta. I'm assuming that if the baby is alive and not doing well in the womb they will deliver, but it doesn't look very good at this point.

There are only a handful of girl bible names that I like. But I LOVE the majority of the boy biblical names.
David, Luke (David Luke is what my boy's name will be...), Matthew, James, Samson, Adam, Daniel, Jacob, Josiah, Samuel, Aaron, Gabriel, Joseph, John,

Of course, there are some less traditional boy name. Hezekiah, Ezekiel, Nehemiah, (some of which I love, but not sure I'd name a boy in this day and age).

I once met a woman who's name was Dorkus (sp?).
