Praying for the best. It is amazing what they can do in NICUs. They always like to prepare parents for the worst just in case. I'm praying that this is one of those situations. I've been seeing some amazing things these past few weeks....

One of the names I wanted for Isaac was Ezekiel, and call him "Zeke" but hubby vetoed it right away. Isaac is better though.

Isaac is really good too. My cousin's name is David Isaac. My aunt/uncle wanted to use both names. So they were. When he was learning to talk, he starting referring to himself as Isaac. So Isaac it became.

Yes, I know it is sometimes possible for the baby to live, but many times it isn't.

All I know is that there were problems with the delivery of nutrition from the placenta. I'm assuming that if the baby is alive and not doing well in the womb they will deliver, but it doesn't look very good at this point.

Ah. Sounds like IUGR(Intrauterine Growth Restriction), I'll definitely be praying for her baby.

Do you have a boy name Ryanne?

Lol. We are constantly talking about names. We still have Wesley Joel Emerick from when I was pregnant with Gabby, and we also are really liking Oliver(although we haven't found another middle name). If I got pregnant with twin boys(a girl can dream) then we would probably just break up the middle names and have Wesley Joel and Oliver Emerick... although I don't really like Oliver Emerick together. Who knows...

If we have another girl it's looking like Julianna Kate or Julianna Ayn. We had the hardest time with girl names when I was pregnant with Gabby. We finally agreed on one and then I decided I didn't like it, lol.

(my period is also late so maybe I'll be joining you)

Ooo...anxiously awaiting confirmation of that!

If Isaac had been a girl he would have been Elizabeth Ann, but I knew from day 1 he was a boy. I also LOVE the name, Emily (or Emma), but Klay is not crazy about it so.... I really want to name a daughter after my great grandmother, Carinna...but Klay isnt crazy 'bout that one either. We usually have to avoid "r" sounds because Klay has trouble pronouncing them.

I also love the name Elizabeth, but dH isn't crazy about it (maybe as a middle name). I have several girl names I like, but few that I really, really love.

We've considered giving her the formal name of Victoria, but calling her Tori. Has anyone else ever done anything like that? What do you think?

I have a friend who is about as pregnant as you are, Ruth and they are naming their daughter Victoria and calling her Tori. I think it's cute! We named Gabby knowing she would be called by the nickname.

Ruth I happen to think Elizabeth is a perfectly lovely middle name.

I also love Victoria/Tori, that is a beautiful name for a girl.

How are you doing today Kathryn? Has today been a better day so far?

We named our daughter Gwendolyn knowing that we'd call her Gwen. I call her Gwendolyn occasionally, but she's most often called Gwen.

LOVE Victoria with the nickname Tori! That was my best friend's name when I was growing up.

Hello, I go to the doctor today and hopefully find out my due date. With dd I knew the exact dates of everything. I had my due date figured out before I got there. This time, well I have an 11 month old daughter. I have just been a little bit busier. I am excited to now. I am either 6 weeks or 10 weeks. I think it is 6 but there is a question.

My sister named her girl Abby. I told her that someday she may want the more formal Abigail. She called the hospital and changed it.

We did not find out the gender of dd. My husband thinks he may want to this time around. I am fine with it.

I am a bit nervous. I just want to hear that all is okay and as it should be. I forgot how anxious the first trimester makes me. I also forgot how sick it makes me. Hopefully it will clear up like last time and I will have an awesome pregnancy from the second trimester on.

I had Isaac and Ezekial/"Zeke" on my list, but dh didn't go for either of those. The name we have for a boy has been tossed around quite a bit here lately, though!

I know of people doing Victoria/Tori too and think it's very cute!

Karen- Hope your appointment goes well. It will be fun to find out how far along you really are.

Welcome Karen!! It's good to be adding more ladies to the list!!

Chelsea, thanks for asking, today is a better day, even though I had a prenatal appt last night and everything is the same. But at least I haven't gone backwards and my bp, urine and all that stuff is good. I think what some of it was that I was extremely constipated and I ate too many prunes and bran, well that made me feel so full. I got rid of all of that this morning. I am in such a better mood! I also lost three pounds this morning too! That made me feel tons better too!! (I told you I was extremely constipated!)

BTW, ladies if you do have hemmies or develope them, invest in those flushable wipes. I did and it has made all the difference. My bottom feels so much better now.

I'm so glad today is a better day Kathryn! It is great that your bp and everything is still good, that must have been encouraging for you. I have been quite constipated lately too and it is awful, I am going to go get more vitamins today, I find when I take them regularly it isn't quite so bad. I have been a bad mommy and have been forgetting to take my vitamins these last few days. I need to post a note on the milk or something to remind myself!

If any of you ladies read this before then would you please say a quick prayer for me? I have my first doctor's appointment today and I have been struggling with unrealistic fears all day. Things like she won't be able to find a heartbeat etc. I know it is silly but I can't seem to shake them!

Oh Chelsea, I know exactly what you mean. You just want to hear that everything is okay and progressing well. It is scary. I know that it is all in God's hands and whatever happens can be used for His glory but I want this baby.

I will pray for you. I can't wait to hear how the visit goes.

Thank you for praying ladies!!

We had an absolutely wonderful appointment!! (side note: We are going with a midwife this time but we are moving during my pregnancy so my midwife is 6 hours away, I see her when I go home and I have a doctor in the meantime.) The doctor walked in and knew who I was right away "Oh!" she said to Mary "you are the baby with the really really big head!!" Isn't that super?

Anyway, while she was examining me she felt for my uterus and couldn't find it so she said we probably wouldn't hear a heartbeat but as soon as she put the doppler on my stomach we found a loud and clear heartbeat of 174!!!!!! I of course cried and said many many thankful prayers, it was such a wonderful feeling to know the little person inside me is okay! I can't even tell you ladies how thrilled I am right now.

That's wonderful Chelsea! Quite a heart rate too! Do you remember what Mary's heart rate was?

I am full-term tomorrow! Woo hoo! Baby, you are officially allowed to come at any time now
