I would love to, but as much as i love the Kingsmen qt. up where i live, i only get to see them once or twice a year, sometimes more. So , i don't know if i'd be able to get you too much information about them, other than what i can find online. I could help with any ifo. such as past albms, projects, and such. I wish i could be more helpful, but i really don't have a "hotline" to the Kingsmen or anything, LOL. I usually talk to Bryan via his myspace page, or something like that.

It should be a lesson to all of us to peak inside every thread once and awhile. You never know when you're being talked about.

I guess so! If that is so, I got alot of reading to do....

I, too, like David, only see L5 (my boys ) about 1-2 times a year. So far it has actually only been once a year. And as far as GV, I saw them FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! just last month. But I do intend to see them both as much as I can!

The funny thing is.... for me, I pick up on most of the GC news from here and then do more research!

(plus it helps to be part of their newsletter)

However, I would like to be more in touch of what they're up to. It looks like I'll have to see what I can do!

I don't get to see the Kingdom Heirs much either, three or four times a year at the most. Most of the news I get about them comes from their website, their myspace pages or from clintabbott who gets a chance to see them way more often then I do. So I don't know how much news I could get on them, but I would like a chance to review some of their older projects though. And I'll be glad to contribute as much as I can.

In addition to working on L5, I could help out Donna with Greater Vision. Those are my two favorites anyway.

Me too!

And where would we post these "reviews"? On the group threads, or a special thread?

Ok, I'm admitting something......today is the first time I actually looked at this thread (sorry KingsmenQtFan!) and found I was being discussed, among others. Good idea, KQF!

Thanks for posting on here Guys, I was thinking I can be a "reporter" for the Dixie Echoes. I will either email the Kingsmen and Dixie Echoes tonight or tomorrow and ask for permission and ask for their help.

I got to study for a World Religions test and type a response paper so I probably wont be on much tonight.

Thanks

I remember back before the internet, when i relied solely on when my Singing News magazine would arrive every month, and i didn't realize was that news was all old, like 2-3 months behind.

I was so amazed when the internet cam along , and we could get immediate news stories that happen in the Southern Gospel music world. The internet has really changed things as far as getting fast news updates.

Since I'm new to the Southern Gospel scene, I'm probably not qualified to do much. However, since I like Bill Gaither music and Homecoming videos and DVD's, I could probably review the ones I've seen or listened to. I can also check his website and other sources for updates on his next projects. Will that be okay with everybody?

Let me(KingsmenQuartetFan) or GVfan know if You want to be a reporter
This thread got me to thinking about posters on here that we most closely associate with each group. What I'm trying to say is when you see a post from this person, you immediately think of a certain group. Or when you hear a certain group you think of this poster. Here's a list that I've thought of right off the top of my head:

Kingdom Heirs
AdamEdwards
LRBB
BRBB
clintabbott

Kingsmen
KingsmenQuartetFan
DJSfromCleveland

Gold City
MattPaasch
Brandon_and_Lisa
GoldCityQtGirl

Brian Free & Assurance
youngartist

Triumphant Quartet
Dinana

Greater Vision

GVfan

Legacy Five
L5FanLady
L5MAN
L5Ropeholder
Jeff_from_Kentucky

Perrys
danielmount

Booth Brothers

BBfan

Talley Trio

Heather84

Crossway
jabird41

Hoppers

Seaton

Bill Gaither and Homecoming Friends
MyCatSmokey2006

I'm sure I could probably think of some more, but those are the ones that immediately popped into my head. Everyone can feel free to add to the list and Josh can get an idea on who his "reporters" could be.

I think Josh's idea is for you (if you wish to take on the roll of the Talley Trio's reporter) to keep us up to date on what's new with the Talley Trio. For instance what new projects they have in the works or what song they plan to release to radio next, that sort of thing. Or you could keep us up to date on upcoming concert dates or even review past concerts. Just any information you happen to come across about them. I know GVfan did it for Greater Vision in the form of a blog. I'm not for sure if that's exactly what Josh has in mind, but it seems like a good idea to me. Josh could probably tell you more, but maybe this helps some.

I think the rules say 1 blog per person, but Fritz knows we're doing this and he's expecting others to ask for clearance. PM him. They may make an excepton! I'd love to see you posting one for the Gaithers!!!

That is correct LRBB...great explanation. I have gotten the okay to be the reporter for the Dixe Echoes and the Kingsmen. Bryan(Kingsmen) and Stewart(Dixie Echoes) said its okay and they said let them know whatever they can help with

Actually, I did it as a blog so that it didn't get buried in all the "chat" stuff in the artist thread. We had also talked about a separate thread in the SG section, but the Forums Administrator wasn't too keen on that idea. I'm sure if someone wanted to put their "reporter" stuff inside the artist "chat" thread, that would be okay, too.

Edit: Thought of something else. If you want to go back and reference something, it's easier if the "reporter" stuff is separate from the usual "chat" thread. For example, if you want to check on an artist's birthday or dates that they were in the group, etc. Or lists of their projects. Just a thought.
