One last time..
Until third parties gain credibility by electing a large city mayor, governor or senator, a third party presidential is a waste of your vote so waste away.

No less than if I were to vote for John McCain here in California...

I have a question for those who will voting for a third party. Is this really the right time to do so?

If Obama gets in he White House with a super majority in the House and Senate, we are looking at some pretty scary times. Most likely, similar to the Carter years. After those four years of doom, I am betting most will be less willing to go third party, but swing back to Republican again (it's just human nature) ... it seems to me voting third party now will set you back as opposed to bringing it forward.

I remember Carter inflation & 17% mortgage rates in the early 80's. Our first home was financed by the owner @ 12% when the banks were offering 17%.

None of the 3rd parties represent my conscience, so to vote for one would just be voting for another evil.

Then you absolutely should not vote for one of them.
Do any of this year's presidential candidates represent your conscience?

There is no candidate or party who will fully represent what we who call ourselves Christians want. Ever. That is why we await His second coming.

I posted this in the other lesser of two evils thread that was closed. With a slight edit and the fear of being accused of spamming I will repost it here:

The time to vote our conscience is during the primaries. No matter what level of office it is. That is also the time to push a "third" party if that is your leaning. During the primary is when those who end up representing their party should look at the results and know what way "the wind blows." And if they indeed do not abide by the "will of the people" in what way the "people" leaned in the primary then the next time round they should find themselves out on their kisters.

BUT, the process takes time and diligence. Time in that it may be four more years before changing of the guard can happen and diligence in making sure you and those you influence are watching your representatives and making sure they hear from you throughout the year, even going so far as to make sure they know what it is your face looks like because you are at their local office as often as possible.

That kind of change takes time. To not vote for the "lessor of two evils" as in this case of the current presidential election is foolishness in my opinion. No way do I want a super majority of liberal Democrats in both houses along with a president who is sounding more and more like a disciple of Marx and Lenin. Nor am I extremely confident in what McCain brings to the table either. But I do see McCain as somewhat of a counter balance to the Pelosi/Reid regime we are going to have. So yes, I now am voting for the lessor of two evils.

So, for those of us who do see whatever party we align ourselves with not doing our will - WORK at making a change. Do not think it will happen in the twinkling of an eye. It won't.
