drussell52 -> when folks exit the stage of your life (9/24/2008 12:58:28 PM)

Hi, always enjoy sharing on this forum or a couple others that are similar. Over the past couple years there has been some significant change occur in my life with regard to others who are involved in it. One person passed away, a professional network I was involved in shut down, and a few e-pals have for whatever reason gone by the wayside but a few other things and persons have sort of filled in the voided places. When people leave your life, do you see it as the LORD further making you like him, preparing you for "something", or just the way things are in this old world. Personally, I see it as the Lord preparing me for something, and just the way things are.. Thanks for replying- there's room for ya :) (Drussell52)

I believe community is a very important concept in the Scriptures. Our mobile and e-society have eroded that to a great degree. Though moving may be a necessity and internet communication is not a bad thing. However, I believe, long distance relationships and e-community do not count as the convening or gathering together that Ha Torah and Paul refer to. We need to attempt to maintain flesh and blood relationships with fellow believers and even more so as we see the day approaching.

Well; Stuff happens.

I certainly would not blame God for things that happen in your life.

If you are a Christian then you should rely on the promises of the Word of God;

(Php 4:12) I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

(Php 4:13) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Thanks
RC

I'll just say this...with each passing day I see more evidence of the Lord working in my life. I'm convinced that God’s influence on our state of affairs far surpasses what we image.
