Lily and Megan, you might want to see if your libraries have THIS book, I have not read it but it gets good reviews from my friends(and Amazon).

Thank you, Jae. I guess I need to convince myself that feeling frustrated doesn't mean I'm a bad mom. I feel like if I'm not always calm, patient and perfect that I'm messing up. How do I get over that? Thanks Ryanne - I'll peek at the book.

Lily I'm reading that sleep book Ryanne recommended and so far it's good. He starts by breaking down where you want them to sleep and why and goes from there on how to get to your goal without major 'trauma' to both of you. Another book that gets rave reviews is the Happiest Baby on the Block. The author will be speaking here soon and I haven't decided if I want to go yet.

I second what Ruth and Jae said- just because you tried something different, and baby cried does NOT mean you are a bad mum in any way shape or form, because then a few of us around here would be considered that too. You did what you had to do and tried something different. There is nothing wrong with that at all. You get over feeling guilty by not worrying what other mothers do and say. We ALL have tried different things. The AP parents, the CIO, the CC and the other methods. We are all looking for the same goal in the end, happy and healthy children. It doens't matter how you get to that point... (hugs) to all the mums not getting sleep!

Thanks, Ladies! We are rather partial to her cuteness :) Kat, we just started giving Gabby pigtails. I have been waiting, and waiting and drooling in jealousy over Chelsea's Mary and her pigtails. Gabby's are rather thin, but still cute! Christina, we just figure we'll chain her in the basement and homeschool. That should work until she's at least 25. Nicole, she actually looks a good deal like both of us... Micah at about 9 months and Me at abotu 10 months.

Awwww, you were both really cute babies too. Man, look at those rolls on Micah, Hehehehe. I have to agree with Nicole, I think she looks more like you as a baby.

Erin, how wonderful! A week ago did you think this day would come? I'm so excited for you! Have a great day with him! Josie has been terribly constipated. It seems everything I try isn't working. I'm going to make a HUGE effort to give her apple juice twice a day instead of just now and then. Hopefully that will clear it up. Sometimes the "rocks" are black...does that mean anything? The only think I can from my research is it's from giving the child an Iron supplement. Well, she doesn't get one. She's on formula (about 20-32 ounces a day) and gets two tablespoons of oatmeal (which has iron, I think).

Tammy, IME, some kids don't do well with the standard iron recommendations. I'd talk to her doctor about going to a lower iron formula. Does she eat any other solids besides oatmeal? If not, maybe you could start with some applesauce and prunes to help her out? Erin, do you have home health nurses coming out? Just curious how that works... I don't know why Esther is so cranky these past couple days, but I am definitely sick with something or other, so maybe she has a touch of it too? She's not screaming, just squawking here and there and generally making unhappy noises.

Also, does she drink much plain water? Increasing her liquids should help regardless of what they are. Is she eating much wheat? Wheat can tend to bung you up a bit sometimes. Are you due to see your doctor with her for anything soon? If it was me, I'd probably double check with the doctor, with the stools being black.
