Sorry I'm late on this, but little people have their Mayflower and Thanksgiving sets on clearance. You can only buy them through the catalog or on sale. They are very cute!!!

Jae the ped's here either tell you get THIS or the pharmacy makes their own triple paste. A friend of mine's little boy had it so severe he was peeling with they wiped him. They immediately changed to rinsing him off and using the above paste AFTER using all of the tub the pharmacy made for $50!!

Some of our Walgreen's carry Gentian Violet, depending on what market they primarily serve.

I am feeling at a loss. Jadon will not sleep longer than four hours. When he wakes up he definitely eats. I don't know to explain it, but I feel like it's more of a 'trained' issue than the fact that he is hungry. I'm just starting to feel so discouraged that I'll never get to sleep longer than four hours. Even resentful. Not resentful of Jadon, but resentful i can't sleep. He'll be 9 months old at the 12th. I thought I'd get more sleep by this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate teething. Despise it. They are what ruined a beautiful sleep night time. Last night he ate at 6, 8, 11:30, 3:30, 7:30. If I just try to let him self soothe he SCREAMS bloody murder until we get him. He will only drink out of one sippy cup and that sippy cup gets everywhere on his upper body so I don't want to do that when he's in bed. He already has a passy. All he wants are my breasts. I would like to mention he does self soothe in those four hours. I hear him wake up, stir, and go back to sleep so he CAN self soothe. He just won't do it at that 3 or 4 hour mark.

Did you say he has 6 teeth at the moment, Janine? If so, there'll likely be two more on the way soon. He will likely settle down a bit more after they come. Have you tried getting the Hylands Teething remedy that a number of ladies here have recommended? It helps by soothing the whole system. Also, is Jadon having 3 solid meals per day now? quote:
ORIGINAL: Flintejae Last night he ate at 6, 8, 11:30, 3:30, 7:30. So he's actually really only waking twice in the night for a feed? That's GOOD!! Won't be long before he drops one more of those, both of them even.

Honestly I only see one night time feeding, the 3:30 one. The others are too close to normal wake hours for me to call them night feeds really. The 11:30 would be pushing it. Janine, this is just a fraction of time in your life. It will pass. I totally agree with Manda, there are more teeth coming even if you can't see/feel them!

Want to add this.. If he is going through a growth spurt, he may truly need that feeding. Alot of babies do. Also, I can't remember the number of moms on here who have said they didn't sleep through the night until after a year. Some babies need that night feeding, they grow so much during sleep that they physically need those calories to replenish what they just spent while sleeping.

Funny you should say that! I originally put "one night feed" and then thought that maybe for Janine the 11.30 is a night feed if she is the sort to go to bed early. I personally wouldn't have classed it as a night feed, since I don't go to bed till after midnight (didn't even back then when the babies were small). At 5-6 months, I regarded my ds's "bedtime" as 11pm, which was when he had his "last" feed for the day. It was not until he was 8 months or so before we managed to pull that back to 8 or 9, and it still often involved him stirring at around 11pm.

My ds stopped needing a night-time feed by about 8/9 months, but he'd wake briefly once or twice in the night right up until he was almost 4. I only offered water, and he'd go back down again really quickly 99% of the time.

My only real thought to that Manda is that you started your kids on a much different schedule/sleep style than Janine did, ya know? Our little one sleeps with me all curled up and happy and I love it. My mom got on me recnetly about it and said that we would want her out soon so we can have our ed back. I told her that after 10 years of no babies we are treasuring every single 'baby' moment we get. She may very well be our only child so we want lap up every oppertunity we have to be in contact with her. But I'm also a totally different parent than my mom was. I'm very hands on and attached to her physically and I think that may cause some mixed emotions for my mom. I don't mind when Isabel wakes up at 3 for a feed. I get to snuggle with her and it's just me and her and I love it. I still sleep during the day when she sleeps at least once so I am still getting enough rest. But bottom line, Janine, you have to find a balance for you Jason and Jadon that you can all thrive on.

My niece is 15 months and still needs a 4am feeding, though she goes to bed at 8pm, so by 4am she's been foodless for 8 hours. She also eats very little solids, never liked the pureed stuff, and she's only just now getting into table food. I think it's different for every kid, but Jadon's schedule doesn't sound to bad to me. I'm pretty sure Nathan still had the occasional night feeding at 8/9 months, though I don't clearly remember. Certainly he wasn't sleeping completely through the night.

Sounds pretty normal to me too, Jae. Maybe it would help if you just decided to be okay with 4 hour stretches of sleep? Like get it in your head that that's how it's going to be, so you're not disappointed when that is what happens? And then if he sleeps longer (and he WILL...eventually), then GREAT! I know it's hard to have to wake up constantly. Esther slept the whole way home from Sandy's (2.5 hours), so she didn't want to go to sleep when *I* wanted to, and I was exhausted and knew we had a busy day today. So what did I do? I cried and stomped my feet and had a temper tantrum. LOL...yup, seriously, I did. I was tired and I let my emotions take over. Then I realized how ridiculous I was being, calmed down, and wouldn't you know...the little Princess fell asleep. Ha. We all have our moments...

Gabby still isn't sleeping entirely through the night because she will wake at some point(usually between 3-5) and need something- more water, her pacifier. Last night she woke up SIX times. Boy, I realized that I do not want a newborn anytime soon, lol. Janine, maybe you should go to bed a bit earlier. Really, 11:30-7:30 is not a bad stretch of sleep even if you getting up once to do a feeding. No, it's not like what it was pre-baby but the truth is that you might not get pre-baby sleep for another couple of years, especially if you get pregnant any time soon. My mom told me that when she had my youngest 3 siblings she calculated that she went nearly 5 years getting up several times a night

(believe me, I've been there with the 6+ times a night, lol, but only with him, not with Sarah)
