That girl (Debra Messing?) is really good, though. It is a shame the show needs work. Maybe it will get better with time.

I've only watched the season premiere. I have 3 others recorded but I just haven't had the heart to watch it. I thought I'd give it one more chance but...

It seems to me that they are "commercialing" it to death here. Every other commercial is about that show and it really turns me off even more. It reminds me of what I used to tell my kids when they wanted something -- "tell me once; I will take it into consideration. After that, you are nagging and you WILL not get whatever you want."

My family always said this about commercials "If the product/show is as good as they say it is, they wouldn't have to advertise!!"

No one yacking in here today either...everyone gearing of for Halloween???

I was at the Rescue Mission helping set up a Halloween party for 30 children. My station was a big pan of slime that had toys mixed into it for the children to pull out for their prize. You have not lived untill you play with children, toys, & slime for several hours.

Side note is that Santa said he'd give me extra CHRISTmas points for doing this. I may get something for CHRISTmas yet.

Fall fest fun! no slime here- All I was involved with was the Honduras Mission Trip Silent Auction. I donated a Natural Light Portrait Session, I was kinda worried that it wouldn't "FIT" after I got there and realized that most the stuff on the tables was stuff from either someones Avon business or ball hats or home decorations...

Thing is- I not only donated the portrait package but 2 custom framed prints, 1 actual black and white silver gelatin 8x10 done in the darkroom(think artsy fartsy), and 1 digital print that was Photo-shopped titled "Lost"
(see it here). They priced the starting bid on the artsy one at 30.00, it did not get a single bid and came home with me. I think If I'd put something on it saying what it actually was--- you know that it wasn't some wal*mart print in a frame--- that it might have sold. The person pricing them knew this, folks walking past did not. I know for next year.

The funny thing was the Digital "Lost" print. I saw it on the table with a starting bid of $40.00! No way! I almost went and asked to lower both the prices on the prints, but then thought I'd not bother the Pastor as he was super busy.

The end of the evening I am wrapping up my chat with the lady that won the photo session, contemplating stacking the 2 prints that did not sell along with my display photos for the photo session when the Pastor walks up holding my "Lost" print... I kinda shake my head and say "That starting bid was way too high." he said "I Know! See, I wanted it and knew I'd not get a chance to bid during the festivities!" *WHAT!* I actually slugged my pastor folks. Punched him right in the arm. Seems he really liked the "Lost" print. *shakes head* he paid 40.00 for an 8x8 print in a 10x10 frame.

That was very cool of your pastor ezri. I like it too. What did the black and white silver gelatin look like?

***and if it's not too nosey, how much did the portrait session go for?

No, the thread doesn't have to close every month. I guess it can, but it doesn't have to.

Spanikopita are wonderful, savory little triangles of phyllo dough filled with spinach and feta cheese. They are exceptionally yummy!

Kate, that avatar is the perfect response to so many statements. LOL, even Lynn's.

I thought I would pop in for a minute just to acknowledge that I became aware in flipping through channels, that the Packers are playing the Titans today.

Hmmmm, Kate's avatar fits THAT too! She must be a Titan fan 'cause right now they are in the lead over the Pack.

At the grocery yesterday, I bought 4 bags of M&M's w/ peanuts in Halloween colors for 50% off. I am just starting to eat Halloween candy.

I love the almond M&M's and I have some Reese's Pieces here that I totally forgot that I had. Love me some PB! I had to go to Gallup yesterday to have the front brakes replaced on my car. I had them replaced about 2 years ago or less and I guess I didn't think they should need replacing that soon. Guess they were very bad. And of course, there was one garage in the entire city (town) that was open yesterday so I'm sure I was robbed!

Ruby Tuesday's is good!

We are full of kielbasa from a church dinner...and Halloween candy from a stop on the way home...

I had to look that up, and well, isn't this a nice picture?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:MundareSausage.JPG

That just doesn't look right!

Cranky! You didn't know kielbasa?

That makes me sad.

Run right out and get some and cook it in the slow cooker all day in some sauerkraut, eat it on buns with mustard and kraut. Or not on buns with mashed potatoes and kraut.

Can I eat it without the sauerkraut?

Mr. Crankius says it sounds very good. Does it usually have MSG in it?
