Yes, sadly. In "To Kill a Mocking Bird." I loved that book!

Anyone ever try to read the Robert Munsch book Love You Forever? I challenge anyone to try to read that book and not choke up a little bit! I can't read that book without bawling!

Blessings,

Garsy

That's one of those books I learned never to read in my classroom because I couldn't get through it without choking up.
Oh, and I bawled while listening to an audiobook of A Thousand Splendid Suns. In the car. On my way to an appointment.

Have you ever cried while reading a book?

Ok, when I finished reading "Rich Mullins: An Arrow Pointing to Heaven" I cried for three days.

I knew how it ended, I even skipped to the end and read the ending when I was halfway through the book. But still, I finished the book and cried for three days. What a week that was, lol!

I cried when Dumbledore died.

Is it sad that I cried when Dobby died in the Deathly Hallows?

It would be sadder if you didn't.

I have cried while reading several books. The ones that I remember crying the most during were Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe and Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

I have to say I'm really not much of a cryer with books or movies. The one book series that did actually make me cry would have to be "The Mark of The Lion" series by Francine Rivers. SUCH good books!

Yeah, I cry a lot when I'm reading. It is not always because it is sad. Sometimes I get so over joyed that I start crying.

Oh plenty of times.

The most recent memory of tears mixed with frustration came when I read When God Writes Your Love Story.

It was an excellent read and very eye opening. Something I wish I'd seen many years ago.

I cried when reading A child called it.I cannot believe how mean some people can be.

I did too. I was reading it aloud to my former husband on a long road trip. He cried too.

I think Karen Kingsbury must get some kind of a kick-back from Kleenex because I cry with a lot of her books. However, I didn't cry at all while reading Sunset.

I cried reading The Shack for the first time, over a year ago. I reread it a couple of months later, but don't remember if I cried then or not. Then, this weekend I had to drive over 400 miles to Kansas City and I listened to it again on CD and...tears again. It is definitely one of the best books I've ever read in my 36 years as a believer.

Yes, God's word- as a matter of fact I did yesterday , Reading in John's gospel, Jesus says, "Will you also go away?" this is where He explains we must eat his flesh, and drink his blood, and how many turned away.

I have cried watching "Call of the Wild" with Charlton Heston, which was a mix of several short stories and novels by Jack London. Was neat to see how they incorporated 5 or six different high points from 3 or 4 of London's stories. (Call of the Wild, White Fang, To build a fire) It is a really good movie, with lots of wilderness scenes, and they even have a take where the miners are singing drunk in a bar, "Onward christian soldiers".

London was accused by Roosevelt of being a fictional exagerator and a teller of tall tales, concerning his stories of the Yukon and the Alaskan gold rush. They are great reading, irregardless.

I'm a bookworm and I've cried while reading several books. More recently The Shack made me cry. CS Lewis' Til We Have Faces made me boo hoo. Now, I have read some books that have made me want to cry because they were so bad.

I've cried over the tree abuse some books constitute by the waste of paper printing it.

The book versions of Legally Blonde and The Devil Wears Prada were tree abuse. I very rarely say a movie is better than the book, but in those cases it's true.

Yes, many times. I have laughed out loud and even thrown a book across the room.
