savings was early through some special program in elementary school.
Checking/credit card I don't remember, probably when I started working at 16

I opened a saving account about 12, checking 16 and a credit card(gas) about 25.

I was 16, opened when I received my first paycheck. When I turned 22 I opened an account at Wells Fargo. I still have that same account today 13 years later!

I think I was 15, but it was at a Savings & Loan (do those things still exist?). I transferred that balance to a bank when I was 17.

Our elementary school had a program with a local bank. I opened an savings account when I was in early elementary school. I'm not sure how old I was, but probably not older than ten.

I was 6 years old when my grandpa and grandma took me to the local bank and we opened my first savings account. I had that account til I was 21 years old but removed all but about $50 shortly after starting college. Shortly after getting to my first work study job at school I opened a checking account with a bank in that city. I transferred all the money (save the $50) into that account. I was 18 at the time. I closed out my savings account and my first checking account shortly before getting married.

I was 18, it was a free account and the first 20 checks were free too. No ATM card with it though. They also charged $.20 for each check after that.

I opened a savings account through elementary school when I was about 8--a checking account when I was 17--had my first credit card at 19 or 20.

I had a savings account at 8-10. First checking hummm, likely 18 but I don't recall.

My mom started a savings account for me at birth or shortly thereafter. I opened up my own savings account at 16 when I started getting regular paychecks from my first job and I added a checking account later.

My first bank account? I was 6 months in the womb... my Grandmother opened a savings account before I was born at the Teachers Credit Union. The account was signed over to me at 13, and I've had a checking account since. Doing the same for my girls, they get the statements mailed in their name, and get to see it grow... as long as they leave it alone.

First savings account in second grade through a program at school. I would deposit 10 cents every week. The next week we would get a receipt with for our deposit and it would show our balance. I loved the quarterly statements that showed a little interest. I remember when my interest was more than my deposit. I started to understand the magic of compounding.
I got my first checking account at age 16. ATM cards did not even exist until I was in college. I worked as a bank teller in college and our bank was one of the first that had ATM's and I got a card then. Of course, the ATM cards were only good at the ATM. Debit cards came many years later.

I was in elementary school, probably second grade. It was just a savings account. I opened my first checking account when I was 15 or 16 when I got my first "real" job.

I was 14 when I got my first saving account( I was babysitting and earning $$). My checking account I got when I was 18 and starting college.

Iam pretty sure I got my first savings account, when I got my first job.....when I was 12.

I was 13 when I opened my first savings account. Had to have a place to put my paper route money.
