My daughter, when she was in Junior High would not get ready on time, so I moved her wake up time up by 30 minutes each time she was late. It took a week and a half, a 3:30AM, and her coming to the realization that she wasn't going back to bed after wake up time. It was a difficult week, but she eventually cracked.

In order for the child to be up at oh dark thirty...that means I have to be up that early.

Only for a few days, a small price to pay for years of obedience in the mornings!


...And you only have to do it with the first kid, the rest learn from watching the first they you will go as long as they do. They correct the behavior the FIRST time you adjust the wake up.

And then there are the holes in the wall I've had to fix that look just like a skateboard ran into it straight-on.

I can relate with this, but my mess maker is a girl. She is very............... um.......curious. Like the time she put gum in her hair because someone told her that peanut butter gets it out and she wanted to see just how that works.

I go into the bathroom and she is still in the shower, not just getting out.....now, I took that as lieing but indirect..so treated it as such......

I walked back into the Kitchen, Filled up a gallon Pitcher of ICE WATER, walked back int othe bathroom and dumped it on her...The ensuing Screams and tears were music to my ears . I told her disrespect is not tollerated nor is lieing....move her butt and get out of the shower...she had 30s or gallon 2 was following...

my second, felt a tremor in the Force, the blood curtling screams of rage/anger and humility, and leaped out of bed and was ready in 5 min (His wake-up time is normally 1.5 hours later!

Vader and I shared a laugh as I headed to work .

Thing 2 is usually the one to take hour long showers. Thing 1 gets so mad because he gets in the shower after him and has no hot water.

I lost sympathy when I did try to get him up sooner and he slept through it. *shrug* Guess he loves cold showers after all.

We are soo evil to enjoy busting our kids chops.

On a sad note DD informed me last night that she wishes to no longer have anything to do with her mom
Looks like she'll be coming home in 3 weeks.

I told my daughters some of the things ya'll have done. One of my daughters said "you would never do that." which may be true, but I hate it that she was so sure of it.
