Ok then I had this terrible feeling and I still do that somehow i offended someone.

Hats, hats are great. I wore a black hat with an ostrich feather (no ostrich suffered for my hat but perhaps they felt a little plucked ). Small rim with a folded bit. Only thing is I stayed behind a camera all day mucking around so no one took any pics of me. I am quite happy about that. i don't mind taking photos but I never like being in them. Always something wrong which I spot. I know my hair is a little boofed in this but that's my casual look. I got heaps of beeps on cup day. I think they liked my hat . I wore my flat boots in case I needed my balance, also to dance. I also wore my pencil lined black skirt with a high waist and a frilly top and broke it up with my boots and my bomber jacket , so I guess I look like half a paratrooper with a touch of femininity.

How about the weather man, hey?! Again tried to mess my day up with the bodgie report, hmmmmm! Never believe the weather man, he is a paid fibber!

Shoes! I love shoes, My favourite pair for work are black and gold ones with honey brown coloured beading.

Yes, I do tend to have a knack of killing a thread . yes I have one room which I nearly have to move out of because of all my shoes. I must give some away this year.

What's wrong with you?

I know I can't stand it. i used to walk through the shopping centre and my friend used to make a big scene trying to embarass me. Getting down on one knee and yelling "please don't leave me with 10 children and no job, please, please don't leave me". Everyone would look, of course and i learned to just smile and keep walking while everyone is looking at me like an evil witch perhaps that had something to do with it . Seriously I have no interest in shopping. Most of the time i don't like the clothes. I am very fussy. Perhaps because I got a lot of hand me down that I never got into the habit. I am not entirely sure. I just dislike shopping.

I have some sun glasses which are pink with white rims. they are my faves. i also have a pair which were given to me which are practical but men's ones. They look good and you can't tell they are mens. I must say the fly glasses remind me of blow flies and I don't see anything even remotely cool about being a fly. Everyone is goping on about being "fly", what next? I feel terribly sorry for those fly people. Very uncool! Could be Beelzebub making a statement there, do you think? proud of his shame, he is.

I have seen some people with shiny, swave looking shoes. Is saw up close they were very shiny; and I wasn't working shoe shining either .

I like shiny shoes. I have a couple of pairs which are part matt leather with patent leather toes and shiny heels - one pair of boots and one pair of office shoes.

Frills? Can you wear them?

Every now and then I find something with frills which I like, but for the most part they don't look good on me.

Yes. I like frills and lace and chiffon. I like girly things but I also like armour and artillery . I had a cardigan (country road, I think) and it was like under armour wear. Like woven iron. It had two layers the one underneath was darker than the one on top. I wore it for years and got thrown around one day in it. It ripped but I sewed it and continued to wear it. It's too small for me now but I still have it. Never found one even remotely the same.

Don't mind shiny shoes. Just not so in my face. Can't say I own any though.

Hi! I have been doing some thinking about my own personal style lately. When I was younger, I always loved all things fashion, especially accessories. When I think back at all the fabulous things I have had...boy would I love to go shopping through my old wardrobes! At the core, I am and will always be a "crunchy-preppy" does that make sense to anyone but me?

I don't keep clothes around. I continually cull through my closet and donate every season. While I'm glad that I do that and will always do so, I sometimes think of something I once owned years ago and think, hhmm, wish I had that right now. But I'm glad it has done someone else good for all the years it would have been hanging in my closet ignore, kwim?

So here is what I would like to be wearing these days: long, flowing Indian skirts, pretty beaded blouses, soft cotton tunics, long, tiered skirts, layers of pretty tanks/camis and soft gauzy blouses.

Here is what I am wearing: comfy denim capris/bermudas, worn layered tanks/cami & tees, sweats, old cotton skirts that are just to the knee.

Oh! And I love, love, love cotton cardigans! Any sleeve length, any color, any weave! I am always looking for those old fashioned little chain thingys that you loop through the button/button hole to old them over your shoulders.

As far as jewelry, I always wear little diamond studs, my wedding set, a man's coach watch & a charm bracelet. All are platinum, stainless or silver. Occasionally I will add a small pendant necklace of some kind or a bangle or beaded bracelet or two. I have other stuff, it just never gets worn.

My hair is brown & straight. I go back and forth between bangs/no bangs, layers/no layers, above the shoulder/below the shoulder. I prefer it as long as it can get without looking scraggly and that length varies over the years.

For shoes, I will always have a weakness for pretty shoes!! But I live in Birks. I want a new pair of pink Birks! I wear my Birks to church!

It does to me because that is probably a good description of me... As soon as I finish this post, I'm going to put on my all natural mineral make-up and a cotton blue, navy, and green argile sweater over my white and light blue, striped, button-down, cotton shirt with my boot cut jeans. If that's not "crunchy-preppy" I have no clue what you mean by that phrase.

I can't do too many frills. I like a bit of lace, small bow embellishments, and a feminine scollaped edge, but once you get stacks of ruffles and ties at the neck I start looking funny. For me, a little frill goes a long way.

I would totally wear your outfit!! I'm with you on the frill factor, too. I like a little detail to turn a classic into a feminine piece, and that's enough. I do like a little hippie wear to throw a little more crunch into the mix, though!

I'll wear a little hippy, but not too much. Lots of hippy just looks unkempt, dirty, or homemade. I'm not into any of those looks. I do like long skirts, though. I especially love the ones at Soft Surroundings. I have to buy them on clearance, but they are great.

Not sure what you mean by "crunchy-preppy". Sounds like a bag of chips, lol! I can relate to knowing about what I like and dislike now and also in getting attached to things I have had. Fashion seems to be drawing a lot on past statements so that things that were in fashion are back in now. Nothing new under the sun, just recycled, or restored is a better word.

Well...I am all that and a bag of chips.

sorry...couldn't resist.

Totally true, Giulia, what old is new again. I love that. I wish I could go shopping in my mom's closet from when I was a little girl and my grandmother's as well!

Just must clarify about bashing up the boys. You know the type that walk in with watermelon under each arm and walk like a stuffed chook. Really loud ones. Those type I used to tell my traINER. "i GOT THIS ONE", AND HE just let me go for it. It's the attitude. EspeciaLLY IF THEY came from the street and are going back there an attitude like that is gonna get them killed. I have seen many champs getting beat in the street. It is merciful to give those types a touch up. May even save them from getting killed. I like to do with with ballet shoes so I can say: "what's wrong havent you ever seen a boxer with ballet shoes ". If they walked in shy or scared or meek, then I was quite happy to work with that and build them up to be able to take on the bully. I don't think it's nice to bash people just for the sake of it and I wasn't saying that. Hope no one took me wrong without knowing the full story.

Show me someone who says they are too professional to fight in the street and I will show you a coward. That is where defence is needed and many weak people need defence out there. Then perhaps they can even get saved. I dislike street fighting, but I dislike even more those that can fight and just walk away when they can prevent someone from getting really hurt.

Having said that I think wisdom and discretion should be used at all times when fighting and if a fight can be prevented then it should be.

Haven't found a pair of bikini's which I like yet. I have been looking. I used to have a white pair of crochet short shorts with a white top and material underneath so you couldn't see anything underneath which I liked a lot. Haven't seen any bathers like that around.

Haven't seen any that remind me of truth yet. Bible says to cover your loins with truth. I do realise it's a spiritual concept but I like it to look physical as well.

I saw this material with skulls and roses and it reminds me of the life that came from the cross. I never used to like punk clothing but I am starting to like it, if I can get the right style. Didn't like the dress I saw but liked the material. Skulls always remind me of the bones that come to life in Ezekiel. Roses always remind me of the roses on Jesus' crown.

I bought a black one-piece last year. Swimwear is one of those areas I tend to stick to really simple, classic lines with. I'm not into stuff that really draws the eye.

I'm not either but I like white in bathers and I prefer two piece. Besides my body is up for it atm. I like wearing a bikini top and shorts. Even casual cut off jean shorts, though if I am in a public place, or private with a lot of people and snobs around then I should have a bather bottom. Some people are funny about you going into their pool with cut offs on (so my experience has been in the past). I went to this shop that sold nothing but swimsuits and couldn't find one that I like !

I found this one with a boy leg, I feel more decent with a boy leg somehow . Do you like them? The flowers on the bottom have grey tones to match the top.

I prefer a tankini of a one piece. I do like a boyleg in the tankini though.

I am a big fan of boy-cut bottoms, bathing suit & panties! Much more comfy and flattering I think.

I also like the short skirts that go with bathers. I'm not sure if they had one in grey, I may go and check it out. I like to go for sprints on the beach, great for the legs and all over fat burning exercise and we all need those .

I also like belly dancing belts, as you can see I have one on here. I like the noise they make when you move and they are great for dancing with other women.
