Hats, hats are great. I wore a black hat with an ostrich feather (no ostrich suffered for my hat but perhaps they felt a little plucked ). Small rim with a folded bit. Only thing is I stayed behind a camera all day mucking around so no one took any pics of me. I am quite happy about that. i don't mind taking photos but I never like being in them. Always something wrong which I spot. I know my hair is a little boofed in this but that's my casual look. I got heaps of beeps on cup day. I think they liked my hat . I wore my flat boots in case I needed my balance, also to dance. I also wore my pencil lined black skirt with a high waist and a frilly top and broke it up with my boots and my bomber jacket , so I guess I look like half a paratrooper with a touch of femininity.

How about the weather man, hey?! Again tried to mess my day up with the bodgie report, hmmmmm! Never believe the weather man, he is a paid fibber!

Yes, I do tend to have a knack of killing a thread . yes I have one room which I nearly have to move out of because of all my shoes. I must give some away this year.

I know I can't stand it. i used to walk through the shopping centre and my friend used to make a big scene trying to embarass me. Getting down on one knee and yelling "please don't leave me with 10 children and no job, please, please don't leave me". Everyone would look, of course and i learned to just smile and keep walking while everyone is looking at me like an evil witch perhaps that had something to do with it . Seriously I have no interest in shopping. Most of the time i don't like the clothes. I am very fussy. Perhaps because I got a lot of hand me down that I never got into the habit. I am not entirely sure. I just dislike shopping. My husband used to give me $500 a day just to get rid of me (20 yrs ago) not like I had much fun, i was very lonely. I bought a lot of clothes then. They all got stolen when i had them in my car moving, they tried to take the car as well but it concked out , good old Holden that was!~ it was after he dissapeared.

I have some sun glasses which are pink with white rims. they are my faves. i also have a pair which were given to me which are practical but men's ones. They look good and you can't tell they are mens. I must say the fly glasses remind me of blow flies and I don't see anything even remotely cool about being a fly. Everyone is goping on about being "fly", what next? I feel terribly sorry for those fly people. Very uncool! Could be Beelzebub making a statement there, do you think? proud of his shame, he is.

It does to me because that is probably a good description of me... As soon as I finish this post, I'm going to put on my all natural mineral make-up and a cotton blue, navy, and green argile sweater over my white and light blue, striped, button-down, cotton shirt with my boot cut jeans. If that's not "crunchy-preppy" I have no clue what you mean by that phrase.

I can't do too many frills. I like a bit of lace, small bow embellishments, and a feminine scalloped edge, but once you get stacks of ruffles and ties at the neck I start looking funny. For me, a little frill goes a long way.

Not sure what you mean by "crunchy-preppy". Sounds like a bag of chips, lol! I can relate to knowing about what I like and dislike now and also in getting attached to things I have had. Fashion seems to be drawing a lot on past statements so that things that were in fashion are back in now. Nothing new under the sun, just recycled, or restored is a better word.
