The first time I ever bought "fat pants" was after I gave birth, I was pretty steadily the same size all through highschool and until I got pregnant, so there was never any need. Now that I'm back at work I have been slowly shrinking, so as I am buying smaller jeans I end up having "fat pants". I'll probably keep them for next time I have a baby.

Do you own "fat jeans"? aka clothes for when you weigh a bigger size than normal No! I get rid of everything as I "undergrow" them, and I refuse to ever buy that size again. If my clothes get uncomfortable, that's my sign to get back on program, not to buy a bigger size. Been there done that enough time to know that is a slippery slope! quote:
Or do you own clothing in a different range of sizes? I do have a lot of smaller clothes that got too snug I am slowly getting back into, but I don't own one thing right now that's too big...I just made a run to Goodwill the other day with several bags of too big clothes.

I generally only have about 2-3 pairs of jeans at a time because I have a hard time finding the right size. I replace them when I wear holes in the knees.

I have jeans that are too big, but they were never "fat" jeans.

LOL I hate wearing belts. The jeans stretch out during the day, can't stand it. Trying to find a pair without stretch is near impossible.

No, I don't own "fat jeans". If I have them, then I have an excuse to gain weight and I like to look good. Plus, I enjoy to shop and if there are things cluttering my closet I can't wear, then I won't be able to fit my new finds. I take them all that can't fit, what I don't wear, etc to Salvation Army.

I don't own any "fat clothes." After I had Akeelah I still wore my maternity stuff and stretchy clothes for a few months until I lost the weight. I bought some clothes that were one size higher than I was before I became pregnant because that was the size I wanted to stay at.

I don't think I own any jeans like that, but I do have clothing that works best a size higher or a size lower. I don't really hold on to anything much more then that (unless it holds personal significance). I could probably fit into all of those things but they feel awkward or don't look right, and I like the item itself enough and I know I will probably wear it some time. There are times I'm busy and lose 5lb and a certain shirt looks good for a few weeks and there are times I have my period and a certain skirt fits nicely. I guess I don't think of my body as one static size so I don't consider them 'fat' clothes.

I get rid of clothes that do not fit if I have not been able to fit back into them after 6 months to a year. I am at my heaviest non-pregnant and I feel disgusting. I am 20 lbs. from an ideal weight, but 30 lbs. away from my ultimate goal weight. I do have all my maternity clothes so if that counts as fat clothes, than yes I have fat clothes/jeans. They are put away though, not hanging in my closet.

ORIGINAL: Starbucks880 No, I don't own "fat jeans". If I have them, then I have an excuse to gain weight Same here. I lost forty pounds after college and threw out all of my old jeans, intending to stay in my new skinny jeans. I knew if I had the clothes just sitting there I could rationalize gaining back some of the weight. I've had two children since then and have made do with maternity jeans while pregnant and in those first couple of months post-partum. The bigger jeans probably would have been easier than squeezing into the skinny jeans before my body was totally back to pre-pregnancy shape, but I honestly needed the discomfort to motivate me to lose the last few pounds.

The bad news is that all of my clothes are "fat" clothes. The good news it that almost everything I own is too big for me now.
