UH OH! All the kool-aid drinkers in the house hold on to your 0bama underoos! This just in from Drudge: http://www.drudgereport.com/ quote:
ZOGBY SATURDAY: Republican John McCain has pulled back within the margin of error... McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all... I think I hear the fat lady....

ORIGINAL: tafkam To be honest, Barack may still in all likelihood win the day, but he will not do so in any sort of landslide or runaway, or with anything resembling a "mandate". Given the political climate, Obama should be mopping the floor with McCain, but it hasn't happened..... A large number of people insist that Obama is a Muslim. As long as spam is a part of the political climate I don't see the idiot vote standing down or getting more reasonable any time soon. And though it's pretty obvious given my political orientation where I think most of the idiots reside, by no means does any ideology have a monopoly on dummies. I don't want to get off topic but actually, Barack Obama was raised in the Muslim faith. His paperwork for entrance into a public school in Indonesia stated under religion: Islam. A picture of it is in the book by Jerome Corsi called the Abomination, oops, I mean the Obama Nation. I think that he will win the election, unfortunately because he is a Socialist and in mocking the Books of Leviticus, Deuteronomy and the Sermon on the Mount he sounded as if he thinks he is smarter than God. However, I don't think polls can really be trusted to be accurate. Bush was behind until election day in 2004 and though it may not look good for McCain, God is in control. Maybe He will decide to delay the judgement America so deserves. And about the intelligent reasons for people's votes, well, how about "He's so cute!" or "I've got a crush on Obama!" or "He's 'The One'!"

I read the first page of this thread and am making my comment... Do not worry about tommorow. God is bigger than Obama. Obama will not destroy our nation. As an ineffective leader and with the fact that the democrat party often eat their own, Obama, without true leadership will guide us no where. Clinto was an ineffective leader and I can't see Obama topping Clinton. Fear not...and vote for McCain. The fat lady hasn't sung yet...not even a hum. This is what will happen under Obama.. we will be attacked again, our taxes will go up and we will be in a true recession, Obama, if he makes it for the 4 years will be a one term president, Congress will not agree with much Obama wants to do and gridlock will be a reality, abortions will have government funding, Jesse Jackson will get a real job, homosexual marriages will get more state support, and.....Palin will be the first woman president.

Look, even if Obama wins, he will still have to deal with the House and Senate, and they can shoot down anything they dont agree with the president on, is that true??? Worse comes to worst, he can be impeached, or just not get re-elected in 4 years. I think we can survive 4 years eh? Anyway, God is still in control, even if the hOuse, Senate, Obama, Mcain, and everyone decided on something, God will still decide. God has the omniscient power to do stuff where people will say "waht happened?"

Harold Washington in the 1983 Chicago mayoral race polled 14 points ahead three days before election. He won by 4 points. Jesse Jackson in the 1988 Dem presidential primary was polling as carrying 1/3 of the white vote. He actually carried only 1/4 and lost the primary. David Dinkins in the 1989 NY mayoral race polled 15 points ahead, but won by only 2 points. Douglas Wilder in the 1989 Virginia gubernatorial race polled 9 points ahead in pre-election polls. He won by half-a-point. All of the incidents you cite here are 20-25 years old.

Hey, Zogby's been giving 0bama some pretty generous leads... there is a reason this is big news. Actually, I'm pretty much ignoring Zogby. His daily numbers have been very erratic.

ORIGINAL: hisglory7 manimal, what exactly is the comment about the kool aid drinkers supposed to mean? The term, "drinking the Kool-Aid" is a reference to the cult The People's Temple and their leader Jim Jones, who had so utterly deceived and manipulated his followers that 909 of them drank cyanide-laced Kool-Aid in a mass suicide in 1979. This is similar to the cult-like followers of Barack 0bama, who hang on his every word and will hear no criticism of their beloved leader, regardless of logic, reason, or truth.

I have an update!!! I am sorry to report that it seems like there is more bad news for the Republican Party. According to CNN, the early voting has offically begun in many of the states across the country. The official tally of the early voting is favoring heavily for Obama and the Democrats. A quarter of all early voters has officially gone to the polls and the results is as follows: 57.8 % Democrats VERSES 42.2% percent Republicans. For more information on the early voting results, please clink on this link: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/31/early.voting/index.html

I pretty much doubt anything CNN puts out. Non-CNN sources say early voting is pretty even between Repubs and Dems, and that Independents are breaking heavily for McCain. Everyone go out and vote. Don't believe the 0bamamania Media, because they want to convince you that you shouldn't even bother voting.

LOL! Of course. Up here in Canada (which, by the way, I'm still not able to vote in because I'm a US citizen), coverage on the election doesn't get broadcast locally until the local polls close. So the folks on the west coast don't get to tune in until most of the votes are already counted in the eastern provinces. (If you have satellite, you can pick up news coverage from further east, but at least then you have to hunt for it.) I think this is how it should be in the US, too. Folks in California should not get to hear about how the folks in New York voted until their polls are closed. How this works with early voting is more difficult except that I think they should not reveal any results of early voting until the regular polls close.

And exit polls, where released, are showing the results so far as being near tied despite the dramatic difference in who's turning out early. Very true...and if one listen's closed they will find the proportion of Rep. vs Dem. in the early voter's is leaning heavy on the registered Dem. side...which is proof we are only getting one side of the story thus far. I don't see a "landslide" result by any means....but I have been wrong at least once in my life.lol

I love My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... That ole Bush I tell ya, what a mess he made and is getting away with it. Only time will tell. LOL@ "Bush led Kerry by 1.5% in an average of all national polling, and eventually won by an almost identical margin." Despite a huge fund-raising machine and an energised party base, Senator Kerry's defeat came down to two issues: Mr Bush's leadership as commander-in-chief of the war on terrorism and a massive mobilisation of the Republican Party's Christian conservative base. It's time for Change so GOP build a Bridge and Get Over it. In Jesus Name!

Amen! Two great accomplishments that I hope and pray history will remember GWB for! I wish we could count on seeing the same thing this coming Tuesday, but alas, I think the "USA As We Know It" ship has sailed!
