http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=79625 I don't know how many of you have ever had close associations with radicals on the left. Among those that I have known, including a cousin of my wife, their conversations are DOMINATED by their radicalism. You cannot be in the vicinity of a leftist radical, particularly ones that publically proclaim their radical communism without it being the center of focus. It is who they are. Do you REALLY believe that Obama had NO idea that Ayers was a radical? And, do you REALLY believe that a man, Ayers, that wrote a book dedicated, among other radicals and murderers, to Sirhan Sirhan is NOT willing to openly talk about his radicalism? Maybe killing cops 40 years ago is not big deal to you. But, killing Robert Kennedy cannot be dismissed or ignored as made irrelevant by time. Wake up people! You are being swindled and duped. But here is the real tragedy. You are being duped by the very people that should have been telling you the truth all along... the networks and newspapers that are so in the tank for Obama that they ignore and withold the truth. Think about it. If McCain or Palin had a friend, or even a business associate, that wrote a book dedicated to the murderer of Robert Kennedy, would either of them still be in this race. Wouldn't your papers and your national and local TV news outlets be OUTRAGED and DEMANDING they step down. But... not a peep. I will bet that you have never even heard this until just this minute. Scary isn't it?

After Obama rides in on his white horse carrying a bow and is given his crown, the world will rejoice. Well except for those of us who are not blinded by his supremacy. The facts about his past do not matter; the color of his skin is what matters and is his qualification to become president of the greatest country in the world. His ties to the Chicago college professor Ayers doesn't matter just as the ties to Rashid Khalidi, the OTHER Chicago college professor with ties to the PLO terrorist group, doesn't matter. This article from Time magazine posted today has some interesting information between the black messiah and Ayers, but it is too little too late because America must atone for slavery and electing Barack is the way to prove Americans are not prejudiced: http://thepage.time.com/mccain-response-to-obama-event-2/ But after the great one is elected, we will find out that the race card will still be used and that was a gamble we shouldn't have made.

I was wondering if someone was going to post this. I saw Hannity break this news on Friday but didn't bother posting anything about it because 0bama's disciples will just ignore it and make excuses for their beloved like they do with everything.

It's not a question of making excuses. It's that no one I know takes Hannity or WorldNutDaily even remotely seriously. If either are your go-to sources for political news, I just don't know what to tell you.

Do you have a copy of the book so you can prove it's untrue?

Todd. I know that in your world facts do seem to matter. I know that putting a fact in front of you means nothing. But, here are a series of facts that have NOTHING to do with those that found them. Fact 1) Ayers wrote a book called Prairie Fire in 1974. You can read it yourself, here. Fact 2) In that book, on page 5, there are people to whom the book is dedicated. Fact 3) On line 13, Sirhan Sirhan is listed. Now, Fox didn't write this book. Ayers did. quote:

Anytime someone here mentions Hannity, Rush or other conservative media, you seem to turn off your brain. And you wonder why you come across as another punch drunk from the Kool-Aid?

I don't think I've seen anybody defending Ayers; those of us who don't care about this issue see the relationship as one that was not close and one that has little bearing on Obama's character, trustworthiness and ability to successfully execute the duties of the POTUS. Adding this book dedication to the list of things Ayers did in the past is like spitting in the ocean - we know what kind of guy he is (or at least was). You may as well tell us that Bill Clinton had another girlfriend, or that Ted Stevens had another $10K stuffed in a 2nd freezer. -Dan.

And, if you honestly buy Obama's excuse that he "didn't know what these people stand/stood for", do you really want someone with that little discernment running our country? I suspect that the whole culture of that sort of church is different than what you and I experience in a typical evangelical church - particularly attitudes regarding hyperbole and doctrinal details. I could be wrong, but I don't think this pastor's words were taken as gospel the way they often are in evangelical churches. I don't think attention is paid to every detail the way we're used to. I think there's also an element whereby Obama attended out of some sort of cultural or spiritual tradition, rather than his agreement with doctrinal particulars. Theologically, I think the church is on very shaky ground (to say the least), but I don't think it reflects poorly on Obama's judgement if he's not attending the church for any sort of deep Christian theology. quote:

I'd like to know what Ayers is doing now. According to wikipedia, "he is now a professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, holding the titles of Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar," with an Ed.D. from Columbia. Obama's association with him stems from them both sitting on various organizational boards. His political career was not "launched" in Ayers' living room. quote:

Dan, I don't know how old you are or how much contact you have had with communists. I suspect you are a smug armchair liberal who thinks it's cool to be a little bit on the socialist side of the spectrum. I also suspect that you have no experience whatsover with the dark side of socialism in which Obama has steeped himself for so many years. So, your posts make me THINK that you have this nice little "Let's all be friends socialism" when that is NOT what Obama is about at all. It appears to me that the reason you don't care about Ayers, Dohrn and the fact that Obama's political career was launched in his home is that you have no idea what that means. You seem to see Ayers as this sweet little Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar wrote a book who's opening pages extolled another educator, Diana Oughton, a graduate of Bryn Mawr and a teacher at Children's Community School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It's that sweet. But, this nice educator so dedicated to teaching young children was even more dedicated to constructing bombs to kill and to maime. Oh... and there is another person mentioned on that same page. The wonderful educator Terry Robbins, who wrote a nice little paper called Turn Toward Children that discussed educational philosophies carried out by Obama and Bill Ayers. Unfortunately, his hobby, between thinking about how to 'educate' young people with Bill Ayers, was also bomb making. Now, you remember that Ayers got his PhD at Columbia. Guess what. One of his mentors and professors there was Hyman Gold, father of Ted Gold. Prominent educator Gold liked parties and his FAVORITE party was the Communist Party USA. That is why Ted was known as a Red Diaper Baby, he grew up steeped in Communism. But, that's OK, because his father was as you put it, a Distinguished Professor. Poor young Ted. He also had a taste for the explosive life of a Weatherman. They died for the cause of COMMUNISM. Not socialism. COMMUNISM. And, that is Bill Ayers' LIFE. YOU CANNOT dismiss the fact that Ayers' the EVER MILITANT COMMUNIST found something so much in KINSHIP with OBAMA that HE AND DOHRN LAUNCHED OBAMA'S POLITICAL CAREER FROM THEIR LIVING ROOM. Did you get that! No dedicated communist would help launch a political career for a person that was NOT like minded to themselves. And, that is why Ayer's is important. He tells us about the HIDDEN OBAMA. The HISTORIC OBAMA and the FUTURE OBAMA. Not the CAREFUL OBAMA that we see right now. Unless you lived in 11968 and rubbed shoulders with radicals in 1968 and followed them over the years, you do not have a CLUE as to the importance or non-importance of BILL AYERS. NOT A CLUE. So, sit in your nice comfy armchair and watch what you have so foolishly wrought if Obama wins. But, you still have two days to read Ayer's book and to understand his mind and his ABSOLUTE DEDICATION TO ONE SINGLE CAUSE... including his 'educational reform' and that is COMMUNISM and the overthrow of our government as it exists. Are you man enough to read this? PRIARIE FIRE by BILL AYERS and BERNADETTE DORHN Feel the heat!!! Unless we defeat Obama it WILL be on us in a flash! quote:

I could have guessed at every answer, they were so predictable. The problem, I'm afraid, is narrow experience. That's OK. Most people do not have a very wide range of experiences and have a rough time thinking beyond a their own sphere. But, the one thing you said that you might want to rethink is when you said you were skeptical about Obama having been steeped in radicalism his whole life. That, I'm afraid, is an indefensible position for any well read and open minded position to take. Let's start with his mother. We KNOW that she was influenced very deeply by two openly communist teachers at her high school and became radicalized during that time. Frank Marshall Davis, a very close friend and mentor was a card carrying communist and continued to be influencial when Obama moved to Chicago. His education into community organizing came under the hand of disciples of Saul Alinsky. And, when he ventured into politics it was through the "New Party" which was far to the left of even the democrat party. Obama from birth to now has had an unbroken connection to that radical left. It's too bad that you have not had any contact with anyone on that wavelength. Perhaps you would see just how naive your positons are regarding Dohrn and Ayers. As for me, I HAVE had extensive contacts with parties in those same wavelengths and I can tell you these people have NEVER given up. They are just as angry and just as radical as they were in the 60s and 70s. They have chafed under the McGovern loss for 40 years. You WILL come to know them very, very well... whether Obama wins or loses. The 60's. You had to be there to TRULY understand 2008. quote:

Are you man enough to read this? PRIARIE FIRE by BILL AYERS and BERNADETTE DORHN I skimmed it a bit. I don't doubt that it's as bad as you claim. But it doesn't matter. I don't see this relationship being as significant as you seem to think it is. -Dan.

ORIGINAL: TMeeks Dan, I don't know how old you are or how much contact you have had with communists. Unless we defeat Obama it WILL be on us in a flash! quote:
ORIGINAL: iluvatar I'd like to know what Ayers is doing now. -Dan. Thanks for that informative post. I was not aware of much of this. As for iluvatar, even though I disagree with most of his opinions, I have to give him credit for responding to posts. I have seen some who either refuse to back up their position or even disappear when a thread gets a little heated.

Sorry to disappoint, RC. I don't read either of those blogs. I'm not a liberal. Todd I like you, my brother, I really do, but since you said this I've gotta use you as the example: Why is it that people who talk like liberals have such a hard time when people call them, well, liberal? I know I talk like a conservative, and yet I have ZERO problem if people wish to identify me as such....

I have to agree on iluvatar. He can take the heat as well as dish it. The problem isn't him, the educational system under which he learned was distorted long before he came through it. I'm only now beginning to appreciate how long the higher educational system was targeted by the radical left and how deeply entrenched the communist party members were even in the pre-WWII period. An extreme disappointment for me was to learn about Woodrow Wilson since he was a Virginian born president with whom I had a historic familial connection. He was president of Princeton University and as I have lately learned was an enemy of limited government. He came to power at a time when many people were fascinated by Lenin's ideas and became their champion under the 'progressive' and 'liberal' labels. What he really championed, however, was Internationalism and had he not had a stroke, the Constitution, which rankled him just as it does Obama, would have been neutered even more than it has been now. It should be noted that Wilson's ad | | |
