Just curious

Well, my dad dyes my mom's hair, but that's a lot less hazardous. Actually, though, I'd trust my dad to do what you described... he is very meticulous and careful about a task he assigns himself too.

dH is too, but he'd hate having to work with hair.

Edited because I've had a really off day, and I my grammar has gone on vacation.

Yeah, I am serious

One of my next-door neighbors is a hair dresser, but she doesn't do extensions and doesn't have a lot of free time, so I would feel bad taking her time (even though I would pay her).

My hair dresser doesn't do them either, but might be willing to give it a shot.

But then it hit me--I have free labor right here in my own house! I think he can follow instructions well (he is a research scientist and hasn't detonated anything my mistake, lately ) And it really is easy--I just can't see and reach to do the back of my own head.

Ruth, I think the fact that he is going to be the one who has to look at the finished product will help a lot

He *did* say he would, incidentally--this isn't something I was planning to spring on him. And I already told him it takes a *lot* of time. And he does like the way I look with long hair--but my hair is fine and doesn't grow in nice at all, hence the extensions.

I would not, but honestly I don't let anyone near me with a heat tool. My mom burned me a few times with a curling iron as a kid.

I would let dh help me dye my hair though. If I wanted that.

I would trust my hubby to do that. It sounds like your hubby's line of work is very detail oriented, so I bet he will do a good job. I imagine it doesn't take much skill, just being careful and able to follow instructions should be good enough.

My husband would probably look at me like I grew a second head if I asked him to do anything like that... buy my brother would totally go for it and probably to a pretty darn good job.

Well, I would trust my husband to do it, and he'd probably do a better job than a hair dresser.

But that's why I'd never let him do it. He is sooo perfectionistic and meticulous that it would take forever and we'd end up irritating one another over it.

Yes, I would! He is very good at figuring out how to do things, and he is very careful. It would probably take hours, LOL, but it would be done nicely.

But, I just now asked him, "Would you please put hair extensions on my hair?"

And his reply, "Hair extensions??? whaaaaat???"

Is that a no?

Yes, I would trust Paul to.

I came home one day and he'd been watching a Tyra episode where she was talking about makeup... as soon as I got home Paul asked if he could do my makeup and "practice" what he'd learned He wouldn't think it was weird I asked.
But he might not actually have the time to devote to doing it.

I would probably trust hubby to do it but he would think I had lost my mind if I were to ask.

Yeah, why not? But I don't think I'd ever ask him to do it. I'd just grow my hair.

no =)

It's not that I don't trust my hubby... but.... he does NOT enjoy it when I ask him to paint my toenails, and he says he's too clumsy with things like that. Plus, the one time I hurt my arm, he tried (because I was crying over it) to "fix" my hair for me. All it meant was brushing it, and putting some of it in a barrette... and THAT took over a half an hour, and it ended up crooked... so, um, no. =)

I love him dearly, but no. =)

I don't think I'd trust anyone in the world to do that. I really hate people touching my hair. And my DH's hands are rather shaky.

lol... no way.

I love my husband dearly, but no way would I let him do that. I call my sister up for that sort of thing. lol.

Ironically though... I have pleaded with my husband to let me get a home hair cut kit and do his hair cuts to save some money. (For what it's worth, I'm not a hair stylist but I am an artist in my spare time so I'm pretty good with detail). He said now way!! lol. He doesn't trust me to cut his hair. He asked me if I'd trust him to cut mine... I said no of course. So it looks like we'll be leaving that to the hair stylists. lol.

starvin.artist.gurl ~ my husband is the opposite of yours. He has never once been to a licensed hair cutting person. Every haircut he has ever had has been done by his mom or by me.

Slight change of plans.

I am unable to get the right color of the pre-glued U-tipped hair, so I will get the I-tipped hair that is put on with a little tube and crimped with pliers.

So he won't have to worry about burning either one of us

But this will take longer...

I cut my hubby's hair, and have for the past few years. It isn't that difficult, and the clipper we bought came with an instructional DVD. Dh's hair grows SO fast that it was a pain to go to the barber shop often enough.

My hair came today!

WHen the stock market was really down, I was petting hte hair to make myself feel better It's so soft and silky.

I got my hair cut yesterday, and it just so happens that my hairdresser did extrensions when she was in California, and another one in there did too, so they said they would take care of maintenence for me.

Dee knows Himself, and she said he would be able to do a good job.
