It is six minutes long and after a little while it was obvious that it was a prank, except to Palin. What a moron.
Thay were talking about loving to kill animals and other such nonsense.

umm, did you LISTEN? he refers to her biography "nailin palin" for heaven's sake. at some point, it should have been obvious to her that she was being pranked.

And Obama supporters should have realized that they wee being pranked/ tested when asked how they felt about positions taken by McCain, but were said to be Obama's. The one in which they were asked how they felt Obama's pick of Sarah Palin as a running mate, should have been a give-away.
By the way, they were totally for stands attributed to Obama, including the one about Sarah Palin.

Well considering Jacques Chirac Bill Gates and Queen Elizabeth II have all been pranked in a similar way, I think such a stunt says less about Sarah Palin than it does about FreddieD and the fact that he gets such adolescent pleasure out of it.

I had a bet with myself as to which of our (un)friendly neighborhood liberals was going to post this first. It was between Longfingers and FreddieD, and my money was on Fingers. Oh well, maybe I can pay myself back next time.

yes i heard various words that (trying to understand the accent) it seems that the guys did use some offensive language that caught my eye.

I'm no Palin fan, but I didn't see what the big deal about this was. She did seem a little more gushy and school-girl-ish than I'd like, but I don't think it made her look stupid. If anything, I think it made the pranksters look bad - they weren't even funny. If you want to see how to punk a politician or celebrity, watch old episodes of Da Ali G Show.

C'mon folks none of the people you have cited is running for VP. iluvatar mention that she sounded "gushy and school-girl-ish". Is that presidental? What do we do, elect kids to the highest office in the country?

I am not impressed by her, think she is unqualified to be the next Vice-President, and found her interviews to be bizarre and comical. And I very much hope her ticket doesn't win tomorrow.
But name-calling isn't called for.

Anyways, here is A Link that explains how the pranksters did it. They usually only get through 30% of their material before the person catches on, but Since Palin never caught on they actually ran out of material.
Thank God she will not be VP!

Eh... Her aide didn't force her to be gushy like she was talking to a rock star. Doing my lowly audio tech work, I've gotten over any sort of gushiness around celebrities; you'd think a governor would have gotten over it, too.

I just listened to the whole thing, and I didn't hear "gushiness".... if anyone has ever listened to Gov. Palin, this was pretty normal speech. Go watch her interviews with Hannity or Greta. Anyway, I heard quite a bit of hesitation on her part, most likely because it didn't sound like she understood the accent sometimes, and I am pretty sure she was just trying to be polite several times. Far from the kooky accusations I have read here (from people I am sure would be great on the phone with a foreign leader NOT), I think she handled herself extremely well. I don't get the fuss.

And write her speeches, talk for her, walk for her, do her thinking, and be a VP for her. All Palin has to do is put her face on a poster. Maybe her handlers failed her is because she picked her own handlers. After all there are reports that she is going rouge.
Even taking your excuse to the extreme she still would be expected to realize that it is a prank at some point herself. Your argument is baseless.
I think Biden is what you really want. Hey, I can do your think just as Palins aids does Palin's thinking.

I'm sorry RichLP I have to disagree. Those two have no shame. McCain picked her not to serve the office but "winning is everything," and she excepted it without considering the magnitude of the post because she is an opportunist and do anything for attention. That to me is moronic and irresponsible behavior.
