As a christian I have an aversion to racism. I could not sit in a church for twenty years whose doctrine dripped with racism. BEING there for twenty years defined Obama.
Is there anyone here who believes what was preached in that church was not racist?
After one sermon, I would have left. Either Obama was not a regular attender...or he liked what he heard. From what I understand the doctrine of this partiucular church is very clear. Wether or not Obama heard these "sermons" the racism expressed in them wasn;t just the pastor going off on a rant, its a core doctrine of that church.
If he attened that church he knew the doctrine and by attending that church he supports the doctrine.
If a white candidate went to some black hating church..wow, what would have happened to him?????
Hypocracy...but...IF Obama wins, its just the beginning.

hey gueess what, I sat thru two (2) church services by a similar minister James Meeks, who is also in the news as a rabble rousing socialist minister,, i almost think he is also a believer in the same thing Wright is into..
and believe me, it only took that many times to see exactly what he stood for.
if obama turns out to show another side that wont come out till later, i will really have my baloon burst. i dont see it now, everytihng is all smiles and rosey, and he seems to promise hope and stuff, but if it turns out he's just like every other lying politician, it will really get me down. and for sure, if he lets enough people down if he wins the presidency, a lot of follks will really feel a lot of hate towards his democratic party, and in 2012, the Republicans WILL WIN.

Snooze.... more of the same Swift-Boating stuff. This has been discussed ad-nauseum and dismissed.
How do they know "he never complained" to Rev Wright? That he never complained to the elders? How did they know he even heard this stuff from the pulpit? How do they know? They don't, and so the producers of that 'piece' are passing off something they don't know, as a fact.
Given Obama's proud statement of fact regarding his church recognizing same sex unions I doubt he ever said much... As well the fact he first defended the apostate preacher only to later drop him like yesterday's news...

You'll just say he changed his mind... And only blasphemy is a big deal... Obama will work out fine for you... :P

no not really, i have been seeing one side of him which i have mentioned earlier, and if he does something to upset that apple cart, I will be dumbfounded. it will be a letdown.. i really was having some hope in him. im kinda of ambivalent about obama in some ways, beleive it or not, i admire him but also fear what may happen, thanks to what im hearing from you all. I hope it does not come true. its funny but i was feeling ok when i thought i was going to get a tax break, but someone calculated the economics of it, (which went beyond my understanding)... and it looked like I myself will face a tax increase.. that made me feel unsteady and unsure.

yes if it is calculated to raise taxes for those who make over $41,000... someone around here did some kind of economic calculation. I thought uh oh..... now i got to feel what you all felt like when you all were worried about yourself being taxed.
