See, we've been friends for about 2 years now and I used to just see him as a brother, and I didn't know this until last night, but he had always liked me more than just a sister...anyways, about a year ago he asked me if I could ever like him more than that and I told him yeah, I was sure maybe someday I would. He found out who I liked at the time though and I guess it broke his heart, I didn't know it though...and now, I finally realized how stupid I was and that I REALLY like him, and he decides to think about liking this other girl in our youth group...and it hurts. Hurts that I didn't know I broke his heart, hurts that I see how stupid I was to not see how much I liked him before, it really hurt to see him sit by her...I told one of my friends last night that I felt like you could stick a dagger in my heart and take a chunk of my heart out and it would feel better than this did...
I talked for a long time last night to one of my guy bff and he kept telling me I have to tell him how I feel and take a chance...but, I'm so scared! What if he takes my heart, steps on it, and then hands it back? This is all so stupidly confusing...

Take the chance! Life is all about taking risks, you know.
And even if he is cruel enough to stomp all over your heart, would it be any worse then the pain that you described?
