most likely DH will just get a vasectomy but I'll also need a hysterectomy at some point If you don't mind me asking...why would you do both?

I just need to get to a point where I feel done having kids, then I think I won't have a huge issue(although I'm sure I will have some grief process) getting all the prolapse fixed.

That makes sense. We have never considered Brian having a vasectomy, and we've known about my endometriosis for years so we've always assumed I would take care of it.

We knew long before our first was even conceived that three was "our number". We never really discussed what we would do to prevent pregnancy, but after realizing that all of my kids would be born via c-section it just made sense to do a tubal at the same time as the third c-section. So that's what we did.

I was wondering if anybody has had the new tubal surgery. It is not major surgery anymore, it is an in/out procedure (according to my doctor and the one friend who had it done.) I guess that's why I don't consider it necessary to push my husband to have it done. Like I said before, mine would be free, where we would have to pay $1000 for him - that's a pretty big incentive for me. The one drawback that I can see is that I've read that tubals are much harder to reverse than a vasectomy.
