Beautiful day today, took a stroll down to the local school to cast my vote for Obama. THe lines were long for some districts, but I was lucky and there was only one person in front of me, a young fellow who was voting for the first time, we all gave him a round of applauds as he exited the booth.

Now it's time to kick back and relax with a beer.

Cheers,

I voted for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

I don't agree with them in everything, but in my opinion they are overall the best candidates, considering issues like philosophy of government, personal temperment, character and values, experience, intelligence and education, ability to work with the 'other side of the aisle', ability to rebuild our alliances and relations with foreign countries, and approach to righting wall-street. I ignored the sleaze and irrelevant personal attacks.

John McCain is a good candidate too - and unlike my more liberal friends I believe he has a lot of things going for him, but he's just up against such an incredible opponent, a potentially transformative candidate.

I voted McCain/Palin.

Obama isn't qualified for the job and Barr is a wasted vote....so the choice was quite easy...

I am not a big third party advocate, but I was dissapointed this set of candidates didn't get more notice.

I should have saved all the junk mail I got from every side of every election issue. Next time, maybe I will. I'll put it all in a box, then donate it to someone I don't like -- like maybe Planned Parenthood. Yesterday, what I got in one delivery alone would have choked the proverbial elephant. Well, at least they are keeping the printers and postal workers working! But what destruction of trees and other resources, for us to just throw them away without bothering to look. It was as bad as all the phone books all those companies think I want/need.

But I voted, anyway. Straight Repuclican ticket.

Finally got to the polling place. Yep. I voted McCain/Palin. I wanted to vote out all incumbants in congress. But, Al Franken is running against Coleman. Franken's as scary as Obama.

oh i forgot to mention which could be a contribution to picking the right candidate with morals...

in Illinois we had a ballot with many names as someone mentioned somewhere around here.. Knowing that the Republicans for the most part are conservative, and by reading the statement that tells you what the Republicans stood for, I picked those candidates that are Republican that would more likely pass a good vote, ie.. for Senator, for judges, etc.

I really did not pick many democrats, maybe one or two, because i think they will have too much power in these other positions.

We got in line at 6:50am and exited the booth at 10:10. McCain/Palin.
We had 5 parties on the e-ballot but Pres/VP didn't have a write in or I probably would have gone Huckabee.
I've actually got a friend who did a write-in on a paper ballot for Huckabee/Ramsey

No matter who wins, I'll be in prayer for God to reveal Himself in a powerful way. May they listen to the counsel of man, but act on the counsel of God.
Blessings all,
Melanie

Something tells me this exit poll is not reflective of the general population.

Me too - hit the polls around 4:30 - was out round 5:10. Longer lines were just beginning to form - we left work early to miss rush hour traffic and made it before everyone else could get there...just in time.

Hitler promised 'change'. School children sang his praises, too.

quote:

I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah. Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the "mercy killing" of tiny babies who are not wanted.
There are so few of us left to warn you. I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians. Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote? Do you vote based on an abortionist’s empty promises and economics? Or do you vote according to the Bible?
