Recap for me:

dH was guilted into going to the doc, using his worrying wife as an excuse.

Nathan's chipped tooth is fine. He only went hysterical when I had to leave the room for the x-ray, being preggers and all.

dH reported that our voting lines are not to bad, only 30 minutes when he voted at 9:30am. I'm going after Nathan's nap.

ETA: Happy Birthday Chelsea! Woo Hoo, that's great.

Thank you ladies!! It has been a wonderful birthday so far! Dh got up with Mary at 6am so I didn't have to and then he brought me breakfast when it was time to get up! We are going out for dinner tonight to spend a giftcard someone gave us and then going to Thyme so I can get some real jeans that fit!

Ruth I'm so glad Nathan's tooth is okay! It must have been hard to leave him for the x-ray and having to listen to him cry, I can't imagine. I'm glad your dh went to the doctor too, I hope it isn't anything too serious.

Happy Birthday, Chelsea!!

Wow, Sandy only 5 more days!?

I went and voted. The kids got voting stickers, too, LOL. There was no line, but a steady stream of people coming in and out. It didn't take too long.

Happy Birthday, Chelsea!

I love the video on your blog of Mary playing with that toy. I watched it twice. Wow, she sure can squeal, can't she?!

RYANNE: Can I just use spray adhesive to adhere my paper to the extra canvas I have, and then Mod Podge?

Does anyone have a comfortable kitchen rug that helps with your back by cushioning your feet? I am contemplating buying a Gel Pro rug for our kitchen so DH's back doesn't hurt for two days after he makes soup in there for hours on end, but thought I would check with you ladies first. The Gel Pro ones are $100 each, but with a Bed, Bath & Beyond coupon I can get it for $80....that's still a lot for a rug but not too much if I consider I would easily pay $80 for him not to have back pain after being in the kitchen for hours.

Just thought I would ask.

Happy Birthday, Chelsea!

Voting lines here were not bad at all. Hubby took Hunter to Parent's Morning Out before leaving for the airport so I was able to get to the polls by 8:30 and I was out of there by 9:00 a.m.

Just Hunter and I the next three days and I don't know what I am going to do with all my time at night that is. I am going to miss hubby so much and can't wait for him to return on Thursday. But, that does give me plenty of time to clean, declutter, and organize so the house is in tip top shape when he arrives home.

It's just regular scrapbook paper from Michael's. And Mod Podge from Michael's.

Jeanie, if you like what you get, be sure to let me know. My lower body and back were aching so bad last night between shopping for two hours and being on my feet in the kitchen the rest of the night. I'm getting old.

It should work pretty well, if it was construction paper or something then I would maybe worry about it still wrinkling. I would still think a spray acrylic sealer might work better.

I didn't even know there was such a thing! Sounds great. How big is it? I move around in the kitchen a lot, not just standing in one place. From fridge, to pantry, to counter, to stove, to sink, etc. We really need something to strap to our feet instead of a stationary rug, LOL

Cute new avatar Jeanie! Let me know if you get one of those mats. My back always aches after standing while making dinner.

Chelle, hopefully you can get a lot done while your hubby is away! The more you do the faster the time should go by and the sooner he will be back home! Where is he going anyways?

Here is the link to the mats' manufacturer site: L I N K

I haven't found it online anywhere for cheaper than $99 (which is what B, B and Beyond charges), but if you use a 20% coupon you'll get it for $80. We saw it in the store a few months ago and DH said "We should get one!" but I was hesitant...I mean, it felt great to try it out, but $80 for a MAT?

But now??? Now I'll happily pay $80 for that mat. We both have back troubles and it would be well worth it in our house....if they work.

If I buy one and break it in, I'll let you ladies know.

Okay, I'll look for that, Ryanne. That will affix it to the canvas, too, or just seal it? (I don't know anything about that product, I'm sorry for all the questions.)

Thanks for the link Jeanie. I see there is a victim red color. How gross does that sound?

It will only seal it... should be available in the same aisle as the fixatives. It won't make things wrinkly though, which is my big worry. Pictures, I need pictures!

ROFL!!

Aww, my mommy heart is all sad but laughing at the same time. Isabel just came running around the corner all happy and bubbly with her library books in her arms and BAM!!! Flat on her face. From bubbly face to surprise face to slowly-scrunchied-up-face crying. Poor baby! I felt sorry for her but it was funny at the same time. She's OK now, though. In my lap with those books.
