Have you ladies seen this stuff?

Piggies and Paws

It's kind of pricey, but a really cute idea. I think a person could do her own design.

We just do a plaster one in a little frame.

Gabby is going to be lucky if I don't send her to live with the gypsies today. The constant whining is getting on my last nerve.

Rachel when you posted that link I thought it was going to be for this. We have a lady here who does it and she has a display set up at all the craft and kid fairs we have.... honestly I think they are *creepy* I don't like them at all! One of our friends has them done for her kids and hanging on the walls in their room, I think we're going to stick with imprints.

I've been frazzled today, too, Ryanne. Nathan went from 4 adults in the house to 1, and that one had a lot of work to do to get the house back in shape! He slept the night, but woke very early, so luckily he's down for an early nap.

I hate long weekend recovery cleaning... I am doing the same thing today, Ruth. Gabby is about ready to go down for a nap, she's having an early lunch so she'll be nice and full, which makes her sleep longer

Sometimes, Jae! Hang in there.

This morning was reasonably productive. The vaccuming is all done, the kitchen floor is swept and mopped, the dishes are done, and I did a general picking up. The laundry was done yesterday, so I'm feeling a lot better.

Nathan was climbing the walls though, and while it won't get above 45 I think I will take him out after his nap to run around. He's been calling for his cousin endlessly. I think he's feeling a little lonely after so much attention during last week.

I may call SIL and see if she wants to borrow my copy of Twilight. It's a book she would like, and it'd give me an excuse to drive over and see the nieces (if they're healthy).

Jae, that is a really cute avatar of you guys.

We're recovering from the holiday week, too. I LOVE the holidays, but we were gone too long this time. An entire week. Whew, I was so ready to be home. I spent the day yesterday putting up the tree and getting the house back in order. Today I just want to sit around under a blanket and drink tea, LOL.

Someday it will happen, Jae.

Gabby still wakes up and needs something about once a night, every couple nights she will sleep straight through. I think last night Micah and I both got up with her at some point, both times she probably needed her pacifier back.

Jessica, I thought of Paul with the aloe vera juice, too! Forever those two will be merged in my mind.

Lexie, I'm sure you meant that you had an upset stoUmach? (You forgot the extra U, hon.)

My dad has two best friends and one of them died suddenly on Thanksgiving Day. The funeral is tomorrow. So very sad. That guy wanted EVERYBODY to know Jesus and he was really a one-of-a-kind family friend. What a loss.

I finished my consulting project the day before Thanksgiving. Now I need to find the energy to go and bill them for it.

Rachel, I'm glad you had some time away from home. I hope Jennifer is having a good time in PA with her girls and husband, too.

Ruth - Is Twilight good? I thought about reading the series.

Jeanie! Hey. SO Sorry to hear about your dad's best friend! :( :(

Ryanne/Ruth: Thanks for the hope. :)

Thank You, Rachel, for the photo compliment!

We got a dusting of snow too! If a wind comes it will all blow away.

Rachel, that is a cute idea! I wonder if I could do that for animal paw prints. Hahahaha

Chelsea, those ARE creepy. I was glad you said they were so I could say it too!

Yup, nice easy reading. Chaste romance and light on the actual vampire/violence stuff. There's a lot of spoilers in the Twilight threads, so I'd stay clear.

That sucker (pardon the pun) was 500 pages, and I blew through it pretty quick, but it's not a children's book. It is bizarrely addictive; I found it hard to put down. I ordered books 2, 3 and 4 from amazon.

Ruth, that is interesting, I wouldn't have thought that. I might have to read it. I didn't think I'd be the least bit interested, but I did really enjoy The Historian. Have you read that?

Oh, Nicole, I totally believe you -- I mean, name one person/animal that ISN'T "sensitive back there" -- that's why it's so funny!

You could have written that about me. "Oh, be careful when you're washing Jeanie 'back there'. She's a little sensitive 'back there' and she'll try to wiggle away from you!" See, you could have written that about ME, except I wash my own 'back there', thankyouverymuch!

I can just picture you talking to your little guinea pig -- "Sorry, little guy, but I have to wash and clip you 'back there'. I know you're sensitive but it needs to be done so I'll hurry up 'back there' and get it over with for you -- then you get a CARROT to eat!"

You crack me up!

I think we should get carrots after pap smears then.

Doctor: Thank you for holding still while I was 'down there'. You can pick your treat now: carrot stick or chocolate bar?

-------------------------------

To CHELLE: I am praying for you and hope you are doing well and that you had a nice holiday with Hunter and your husband and your family.

-------------------------------

Hi, Jae.
My kid has 2 teeth. I probably didn't mention that. Bottom middle. Big boy now, don't you know?!

Hey, Nicole....don't worry about our family friend. I just know he is in a better place. My dad is well aware of this, too, it just makes him sad. Our family friend was saved years and years and years ago so he really is in the arms of Jesus these days, and I'm sure he has wanted nothing more wonderful ever.

Oh, and he had cancer but had not been diagnosed because, typical guy -- he waited until it was everywhere and THEN went to a doctor and they said "Oh, um....yeah....not good...."

So if you're feeling sick, get to a doctor! (He was also 73, our family friend so he lived a good long life and is now with Jesus. It's actually a really comforting picture of him in my mind.)

Thank you for your care, Nicole.

Jeanie

We are going to be ordering the whole set as soon as our other books come in. Everyone I have talked to said they loved the books AND the movie!

LOL! No really. From about their mid back to their behind they are sensitive. Like, you can't pet them there. You can pet a dog, cat, hamster, mouse on their lower back and they don't jump and scream. It's not just the butt area... It's half their back too!

quote:

Hahahahahaha!!!!!

I am glad he is in heaven with Jesus then. My Gedo passed away at that age from cancer too.

I did read the Historian, and honestly I found it a little dry in some parts, but overall I enjoyed it. Be advised that Twilight can get a little cheesy in parts, and it is about a teenage girl, and the single-mindedness of first love (as in nothing else matters). Overall though, a good, light read.

LOL! Jeanie, you made me laugh out loud. Now I have to go and read Nicole's blog.

I just got on the library website to request Twilight and I'm number 76 in the hold queue. LOL! I guess I better just buy it . . . . it's on half.com for less than $5 and I'll just re-sell it when I'm done. I rarely buy books. Oklahoma has such great library systems.

You should have to read my blog even without Jeanie making you crack up!

LOL 76 is a long wait! I used to never buy books, but Lorne collects books so now we buy every book we want. I have like 20 books that still need reading. I am sooooo behind!

A friend of mine got stopped for speeding when he was driving to see relatives somewhere in the US. He was going 15mph above the posted limit, and because he was from Canada, they demanded road side payment ... to the une of $500+ (can't remember the exact amount).

Wow Rachel, I've put books on hold before and been in the 800's for the queue. When I see 76 I think "score!"

Hey girls...not to make y'all jealous or nothin...but Donna came to visit me today ...and Brian and the kids too of course. Wicked fun. The kids played.for.hours! My mom got to hold Esther and my Wesley fell in love with her, I'm pretty sure. Hmmm...maybe they should get married? Donna?
They're on the way home now. Hopefully not to yucky on the way, we've had lots of snow.
