Essie and Wessy? Sure, sure!

Nicole, we're a little over 2 hours apart. Less than 2 hours when Sandy is doing the driving.

We did have fun. Hadn't seen Sandy's new house yet (and totally missed the inbetween house!) and her new fridge...ROCKS!!! The kids all did great until Levi at the end was just ready to go home and kept saying, "Me go home? Go bye-bye!" LOL

Had to stop 87 times on the way home though. Soon as we left, the headlight blew and we had to hunt down an Advanced Auto and get another. Then Brian's continual coffee supply. Ha. It was much snowier on the way there. But there were a bunch of idiot driver on the way home. Grrr. I think I need my own highway. I can't tolerate stupid, impatient people. But anyway...we're home now.

Sandy, Hannah was asleep before we got to the gas station by McD's. And slept the whole way home.

That's because people like my dad would take the tickets, go home and never pay them! Though one of my dad's friends was stopped at the border on another trip and forced to pay before he crossed.

That's awesome that Sandy and Donna had another wonderful visit!

Sandy - How Exciting!!!

Donna - I'm glad you made it home safe!!

~~

I am SO EXCITED!! Jason volunteered to go to Hobby Lobby to find some clay. He had a fourty percent coupon and I told him I trusted him. He spent more than I expected, but it was about the price we'd spend if we had to order 'hearty clay' online. It's a kit that has a NEAT/PERFECT mold that'll go well with the frames! yay!

Donna that is hysterical about hannah!
My kids were so worn out they didn't even wake until 7am this morning...and they went to bed at 7pm! Considering Wes usually gets up at 530am...your kids WORE THEM OUT!

LOL Essie and Wessy sounds too cute. Is it meant to be?

2 hours is pretty lucky ladies! How cool is that?! LOL are you saying that Sandy is a crazy driver?

Did you take pictures of yourself with the fridge? Oh I hope so! It isn't very often that someone gets to visit with a celebrity fridge.

You know what you need? An underground highway that is only for your family! I want one of those too. I think that would be awesome!

LOL! I don't even know what I would do if I got pulled over. I think I would be shocked and want to cry.

Most cops are very polite but firm. I've been pulled over for several non-speeding violations and been giving a warning, and the cops were nice but still authoritative if that makes any sense. It is a little scary when the lights come up behind you. Just remember to pull over to the right; I've gotten stupid and made a left turn to pull over, which the cops really don't prefer.

I got pulled over for speeding once, I was trying to make the left turn light. But I got pulled over, and what stunk was, it was at the high school and they were doing some safety blitz, so when I got pulled over, there was a bunch of high school students with the officer. I was embarrased.

The officer asked me what my reason for speeding was and I said "I'm sorry sir, I really don't have one." He asked if I had any tickets and I said no, so he let me go. As I was getting ready to go I heard the female officer say, "now what would you have said to her?" I got out of there fast (but under the speed limit.)

I've only been stopped on routine checks around the holiday's. That wasn't scary. I was glad they were pulling people over to make sure they weren't drinking.

Oops about the left turn! One guy got pulled over right in front of us on a busy/slow moving street a little while ago. The cop actually walked out onto the road in front of his car and told him to pull over. The guy obviously didn't get what just happened (it was dark and raining so Lorne and I both thought it was just some crazy dude walking out into traffic) and kept moving ahead. The cop slammed his arm down on the guy's trunk and yelled at him. I am thinking that the guy was speeding earlier and the cops were waiting for him, but I still felt bad for him because if he was like us he would have thought the cop was some crazy guy at first and I don't think the cop should have slammed his arm down and yelled like that. It's not like the guy could get anywhere... the road was jammed with cars. I would have probably started crying if that happened to me.

I was only pulled over once. I was at a three way stop on a rural country road, making a right hand turn, I just kind of slowed down and turned. The road across from me had knee high grass growing down the middle! I turned and met a deputy. He did a U-Turn and pulled me over. He asked if I saw the stop sign, I said yes. He asked if I had stopped, I said "no, but I did slow down and look" He informed me it was not a "slow down and look sign" and let me go. He didnt even ask for my license.

I've been pulled over a few times. Once was for my license plate light being out. The next time was my turn signal light being out. Also one time for driving too slow and one time for driving too fast. And once I got in trouble for sleeping in my car. Who knew that was illegal? I gave the officer attitude (bad idea) and he all but threw me out of the car and searched me. He thought i was a prostitute LOL. Got arrested once too but I won't go into that.

Ah, let me see. I've been pulled over for cutting off a cop (she was nice and gave me a non-moving violation for a light that was out). Been pulled over for making a left hand turn and cutting off on-coming traffic (got a warning), and been pulled over for making an illegal u-turn (got a warning).

Now that I'm thinking about it, I have gotten a ticket for speeding. It was my first day at a new job, and I wasn't that familiar with the speed limits on the roads I was taking.

Been in 3 very minor accidents; all 3 were my fault, but only 2 got reported to insurance.

All that sounds bad, but I'm not a terrible driver - honest.

Lol, Ruth! I've been pulled over about the same number of times, but only recently had my first accident in the 5 years since I have been driving. It was totally my fault- a minor fender bender that we didn't even bother reporting to the insurance company.

Gabby barfed again The poor girl got 3 new teeth this week, and looks like she has 4 more coming. It's giving her a fever, which is in turn causing her to vomit. I guess vomiting from a fever is better then having a seizure.

I've been lucky, I've had just one speeding ticket, from a camera, for doing 36mph in a 30mph limit. Because I was over the border in Dorset (I live in the county of Hampshire, but near the boundary with Dorset) when I committed the offence, I was fortunate enough to be offered the choice of either paying a £60 fine (ca $100) and having 3 penalty points put on my licence, or of doing a 3hr Driver Awareness course which would still cost me the £60 ($100) but I'd get no points on my licence. Hampshire don't offer this scheme, but Dorset do. So I went for doing the course and that means I still have a clean licence.

Let's see ... I got a speeding ticket once, for apparently going around a corner doing 80kph (I was on a road with a 50 kph limit). I paid it and had points put on my licence (they are now removed, as it has been 10 years). I still can't for the life of me figure that one out ... my lil car would've tipped over taking a turn that fast. I've always thought his radar picked up the speed of the trucks on the road I was turning onto (which was an 80 zone).

Okay, not pulled over per se by an officer, but once my friends and I got lost in Detroit around 2am. We had been travelling home from a buddy's house and taking the highway through Detroit area was really the fastest way home. BUT they were doing some major roadwork on the highway, so we got detoured into the city itself. Well, I must have missed one of the detour signs, as we really ended up lost. I pulled over and we started looking at the map to see if we could figure out where we were. I heard something, and an officer had his lights and siren on and pulled up right beside me. He rolled down his passenger window and I rolled down my window. He said "What the (TOS)(TOS) are you doing HERE at this time of night?" I explained we were lost. He directed me to put up my windows, turn left in front of him right then (light was red) and drive without looking back. After a few blocks I should start seeing the detour signs again. Found out watching the news the next morning that I had become lost in the bad part of town and that there had just been a gang related double homicide about 30 mins before I got there.

I don't know? I think all babies teeth differently. She hadn't had "new" teeth since May, so I knew they were coming I just didn't expect her to get 7 all at once. My friend with triplets said she had 2 babies who got them in "lump sums" like Gabby, and 1 that got them in pairs.

Is it true that pretty much all babies get upset stomachs and/or fevers when they teethe? I could imagine it would be very painful and uncomfortable. Seven at once just sounds so very painful.
