History tends to repeat itself. There is nothing new under the sun. Although I hope the trend toward socialism doesn't destroy our country God is still in control.

Perhaps this country needs a horrible president to shake out of this apathy. People think GWB was bad but really he was doomed as soon as 9/11 hit. The things that needed to be done in order to keep this country safe were not always popular. Personally I think years later people are going to see hindsight that GWB was a great president. Obama on the other hand I think he will make Carter look good. But God put him there for a reason. God uses who he chooses and right now it is Obama. It may get difficult for Christian's but persecution seems to make Christian's thrive. All sunshine makes a desert.

I think the fact is that the country needs a change. Unfortunately, that change is already destined to give us the situation we had back in 2006, where the president had a strong majority in the Senate and Congress. If it's any consolation, the Democrats have been a big tent party who can rarely agree on anything except that they hate what the ruling party is doing, and Conservative Democrats are less of an endangered species than Liberal Republicans. I was a Deaniac in 2004. If the Democrats behave the same way Republicans did, I will likely be voting Republican in 2010.

I am glad for the old people who lived thru the civil rights marches, they do have something to be proud of. You could see the tears and how much this meant to them.. for them i am very happy. Mccains speech was very classy and i appreciate it.

LOL, so true! I hope they can do a better job being the majority this time around. quote:
Mccains speech was very classy and i appreciate it. Yes, it was. Very much so. I personally believe that Obama will be a good President and do us proud around the world. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I'm still praying but I think the hand writing is on the wall. We are in for judgement What a Joke? Is God going to "judge" you who obviosly think you are righteous with the rest of our "sinful nation?" McCain never stood a chance, as long as the encumbent was from the same party. he can blame the brain dead loser from Crawford, TX for his defeat. He would have been a great president in 2000.
