I don't think either one of them was the right man for the job. Some here however seem to be acting as if McCain winning would have saved the universe. McCain wasn't sent from God to be our savior. It was not his time as evidence by his loss. Treating Obama as if he is the devil himself is equally wrong. Saying he fooled everyone could be well and true but assuming McCain is telling the entire truth and would have been better for us is well silly. There is no way of knowing. We should be praying for the man that won. That if he isn't already serving God that he will. He and his household. People also seem to be forgetting that God is the ruler of this universe. He saw fit that Obama win. Whether He simply allow it to our own possible destruction or He wanted him there. Lets pray that Obama will be led by the Father that we trust. The one we call Abba.

Yeah, but that's the way people here act, and it makes no sense to me to feel such a way (about the beginning of what you said).... plus we won't know if McCain would be better or worse than Obama. But, such is life! :)

It made me laugh to hear McCain tell us that we need to "unify" with Obama and his leftist Congress and Senate.

Does that mean:

- I have to be in unity over my taxes going up?

- I have to be in unity that millions more babies will be slaughtered when he expands abortion?

- I have to be in unity when the government takes over my 401k?

- I have to be in unity over a raise in the Capital Gains Tax, thus squelching business growth?

- I have to be in unity when we wave the white flag all over the world?

- I have to be in unity over the "Fairness Doctrine"?

- I have to be in unity over Nationalized Healthcare?

- I have to be in unity on increasing the estate (death) tax?

- I have to be in unity on comprehensive immigration reform? Does that mean I have to unify with Obama on driver's licenses for illegal aliens?

- I have to unify on cutting the defense budget 25%, get out of Iraq, get out of Afghanistan; while Putin's loading up Europe with missiles?

-I have to unify around the notion of liberal judicial appointments to the federal bench, including the Supreme Court?

I get it...Let's unify with the media, and let's unify with the Democrats.

That'll work!

As a Brit, I think it's wonderful that Obama won. So glad the Republicans didn't get back in.

socialists of a feather flock together.

Are you saying that all obama supporters are socialists or that all people from the UK are socialists?

If you agree with a socialist, and vote for a socialist, then yes you are a socialist, regardless of your country of origin.

If a Republican uses an idea that came from socialism, is he a socialist? Or is socialism limited to only one political party?

Bush isn't a conservative and neither is mccain, there were no conservatives running. Im not a Republican, i am a conservative. Conservatives don't use socialist ideas.

I'm so glad to know that if you or a loved one is ever seriously injured and can't work that you won't be burdening the taxpayers to help you keep a roof over your head. Makes me feel good that you're going to turn down Social Security when you retire.

Amen Brother, as a child of Cuban Immigrants I can proudly say that America has taken a huge leap in ridding itself of the racial stains our country's history has had. I was so proud of my country last night, the last time I was that proud was when I swore in to Active Duty 11 years ago!

95% of blacks voted for the black candidate... No huge leap was made...

Lets pay attention to what Mccain said, especially all the mccain admirers here.

He shushed up the crowd who were booing obama's win.

he said he was going to work with obama and lets get behind him to make this country work.

thats what we can do. and just because peopel have not done it in the past,, does not mean we cant do it for the future.

Psst.... McCain is a politican... He's covering his rear...

It was refreshing to see some of the old McCain back, in his speech, I hope he will continue to be a leader in D.C.

Who the old McCain is part of the reason he lost... Being that he doesn't really stand for anything as much as he stand for whatever seems prudent at the time...

It becomes painfully obvious, love, that you have not really read these forums, or you would have known better than to post this particular gem.

Most all of us on the conservative side have been very critical of McCain in a number of areas, and were less than thrilled with him as the GOP Presidential candidate...

No. She's right.

Obama has been declared everything from a socialist and a marxist to a terrorist sympathizer.

It's more apparent to people who support Obama.

What more apparent to people who support Obama? Given the excuses for the man's actions I can't believe much in the way of anything is apparent to those who support him....

I think believers, no matter how they voted, should keep this at the forefront of their minds-
If you voted for Obama, be gracious and pray that God guides him and the nation.
If you voted against Obama, be gracious and pray that God guides him and the nation.

All of this bitter 'end of the USA' talk is just bunk- we go through this every time someone is elected, especially if 'our guy' loses.

Let's not lose sight of why we are here as believers- not to push a political or social-economic agenda, but to win hearts for God, to be a light to the world.

Let's remember what kingdom we are ultimately part of, and serve accordingly.

Well put!

Umm, I didn't vote for Obama, I can't, I live in the UK.

And for most of my life I have voted Conservative. Voted Labour just the once (to get Blair in) - will be voting Tory again next time.

So THERE!

Is Tony Blair considered a liberal? The only time that I've ever really heard him talk was right after 9/11 and he was a great support to the US.

Congrats obama, for having a biased media, and winning despite not having to fight hard. You had men with tingles running up their legs, or was it down their legs? Gross.

You'd have to define for me what you mean by a liberal. In the UK, our third political party are the Liberal Party (nowadays called the Liberal Democrats - Lib Dems for short), so I think we mean something different by the word 'liberal' in relation to politics.

I will agree to this...we don't know if Obama is a socialist because..we...do...not...know...Obama.

No one does.

quote:

Germans when they listened to Hitler.

Please do not compare Obama to Hitler. Hitler was much more influential, powerful and dramatic. He almost led a small country to world domination. Obama...ain't that good.

quote:

I know one reason why many were crying...because he's an African-American President.

I understand the historical context of this statement and the resonence it has with black people...but is this really the reason to elect a person president?

quote:

Not everybody is bowing to him and worshipping him.

I sure hope no christian would.

quote:

Unless you voted for McCain because you didn't want to elect a black man

It wasn't us who voted because of race. Not me. I would hope no christian here did. I voted against Obama in the most effective way I could because of what he believes in. His particular brand of skin pigment had no effect on my vote whatsoever....though it does not surprise me Obama supportes bring this up.

Liberals are socialists. Britian has a socialist government. You draw the lines.
