"Well, then. Now. I'll begin at the beginnin'. A fine soft day in the spring, it was, when the train pulled into Castletown, three hours late as usual, and himself got off. He didn't have the look of an American tourist at all about him. Not a camera on him; what was worse, not even a fishin' rod."

My other favorite quote from that is Jocelyn: Sir Ulrich, you look fantastic! Ulrich: Jocelyn, you look......you remind me of the Bible. LOL, shame it didn't work when I tried that line.

Dr. Oatman: Don't kill anybody for a few days. See what it feels like. Martin Q. Blank: Alright, I'll give it a shot. Dr. Oatman: No, don't give it a shot! Don't shoot anything!

Hayes: The beast looked upon the face of beauty. Beauty stayed his hand, and from that moment he was as one dead.

ACTOR1: Oh come on, we can take 'em. ACTOR2: It's a long way. ACTOR1: Toss me. ACTOR2: What? ACTOR1: I cannot jump the distance, you'll have to toss me. [pauses, looks up at ACTOR2] ACTOR1: Don't tell the elf. ACTOR2: Not a word.

Samson named the first one, and John_O knew it, named Better Off Dead, an early John Cusak movie. A girly kind of comedy. I could watch it once every couple months. 2. John_O knows it... no one has named it yet. What is your favorite color? Blue.... no, no, green! AAaaaaauauuuughhhhhh! (hint) 3. John_O knows this one, too, but leaves it to be named by someone else. 'Take you to him I will, hmmm?? Yes... but first we must eat.' 4. this is kind of right up there with the first one. another hint.... 'I sure hope someone can tell me what is going on here... .' John_O is correct, that's from Top Gun. 7. That's a line a missed former TV wrestler Andre the Giant used in Princess Bride after tossing the first plaster rock at Wesley. So 2, 3, and 4 still need naming. Now it's my turn to play some. #2 is from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Yea Terri!

ORIGINAL: OneJohn410 There are no more things to guess. Is this thread to die a cruel, short-lived death? Ok, for each one you believe you've named, you need to post a line for someone else. I don't know that one GraceNMercy. sosorry. 1. When I came home, there was a man in my house. He had a mechanical arm. 2. Allow me to introduce myself. I am __________. I was named after St. _________, who was known.... 3. Verify our range to target. One ping only. 4. Sorry, Mr. President. I don't dance. 5. Now, while you are just hanging around, there's two things to consider. What a man can do, and what a man can't do. 6. You, me, and the bay of Monterray. 7. Does your dog bite? No. Nice doggy. Snarling, snapping, almost biting. I thought you said your dog did not bite? That is not my dog. One John, I've heard the bolded line (#3) above. The thing is I can't remember where...I'm going to guess it's a movie that I've actually not seen...I only read the book. The Hunt For Red October (?) Ok...I think One John's got a good idea...if you come in to post an answer, we gotta keep it going, so post another line. There is one of mine that has yet to be guessed. It's from a rather obscure old movie with Danny Kay, called The Court Jester and the line is absolutely hilarious in context... "I live for a sigh! I die for a kiss! I lust for a laugh! Ha! Ha! I never walk when I can leap, I never flee when I can fight! I swoon at the beauty of a rose!" If you have run out of movies to watch, do find that one for a great laugh. Here's a line from one of our favorites... "I'm coming traveling buddy!!!!" source? shallbe Yea Shallbe!

Lemme check IMDB... All right, it is King Kong, but as John noted the character "Hayes" says the line. (Not Jack Black's Carl Denham.) I forget just who he was. The actor listed in the Hayes role is Evan Parke. -Robb
