How then, did we get a group of alleged Christians who claim moral or racial superiority over another? Right now, God is judging the self-righteous. This is the reason for the recent defeat of all of those who prayed to destroy President-Elect Obama.
Well said Prohecy7. It amazes me to see that "Christians" keep up with lottery numbers, quote Nostradamus, and believe that an anti-christ will rise up and take control of them. I shouldn't be surprised anymore, because so much of the world has crept into the church, that alot of "Christians" are believing in things that are contrary to God's word. That's why we should always pray, and trust GOD who has ALL power of heaven and earth in HIS hands.

And Pastor Hagee also looked into the camera a few weeks before the election and said, "If you are a Christian, you cannot vote for a pro-choice candidate". Did ya happen to catch that program?

FYI, gambling is not a sin, just like sex is not a sin, and alcohol is not a sin, and rock 'n roll is not a sin, and eating bologna sandwiches anre not a sin.
It was a funny coincidence that the Illinois State lottery Pick 3 numbers were 6-6-6 the day after Barack 0bama got elected... OR WAS IT?!?!?!?!?!

Hey Robb
My first thought when I saw the subject of the thread was "Nick Perry moved to Illinois? I remember him getting arrested and they cancelled bowling-for-dollars.
It used to be all one show, they'd pull the numbers and bowl until he rigged it. I used to know why they picked trip-sixes, but I had to discard that info to learn something new.

After thirty years of Roe vs. Wade and innumerable politicians as well as preachers becoming quite wealthy on this platform. There is still Roe Vs. Wade. There are two streams of thought here: the social gospels (New Testament) ie: "love your neighbor as you love yourself..." Which would belie the indifference that it took an administration to watch as "Rome burned," people lost their jobs, houses and retirements in the name of righteousness. Imagine the suffering of many of the people ALREADY HERE! The disregard for human suffering seems to be limited by some to the unborn only. To hang the whole of the gospels on the tenent that "God hates the shedding of innocent blood," would be to condemn the shedding of ALL INNOCENT BLOOD. Not just those who have not yet been born. To hang the whole of the gospels on one tenent of faith is to border on a cult-like mentality. Where are the outrageous for the spilled blood of countless Native American tribes, and the millions of deaths caused by "the great crossing" during slavery, as well as Jim Crow lynchings. Was this blood guilty? Was the blood of Martin Luther King Jr. guilty in God's eyes?
Years ago, the spirit of Jezebel, and other religious spirits got into the Church and there were not enough people with discernment nor authority to do anything about it. The platforms of Christian conventions were filled with ladies wearing St. John's suits and looking more like Hollywood than Hollywood. The reason why the prophesied revival seems so long in the coming is because the Church has largely sold God out. He has become their big-sugar-daddy-in-the-sky. Many who were sent to lead, were led by a greater and greater lust for other things. How many planes, how many houses and how many sermons on prosperity has it taken to get us all to the point where we cannot even see what God's true agenda is now? Do you love Him? Forsake the spirit of division and enter into the spirit of reconcilliation, which is one of the major ministries of the Lord Jesus Christ. Be a part of the solution, not the problem, as time runs out.
When Jesus walked upon the earth, some of those who followed him turned away when they found out that he would not be attacking the Romans in a physical insurgency, but that His kingdom was a spiritual one. They were offended in Him, because they thought that He would be a king in the manner of KIng David. "God's ways are higher than our ways..." He has a plan and a purpose. He is in control. "the kingdoms of the world have become the kingdoms of our God..." When the Lord talks about our not being able to serve two masters, he does not talk about Satan, the antichrist, the false prophet, the beast etc. He talks about choosing either Him or MAMMON: The system of money and finance. This is what Jesus has been up against; most of all with those who claim to love Him the most.
