FreddieD You're right and I am already having a hard time keeping my mouth shut. I can see it all coming. His decision to bring Henry Rivera back to the FCC is a BIG hint that the "fairness doctrine" will be back with us by next summer. The left has all the network TV channels, and they cannot stand it that conservatives have the biggest voice on AM radio. This will be an over-reach but the damage will have been done. There is nothing fair about the fairness doctrine... nothing. Obviously liberal ideas don't compete well in the markerplace so since they are in power they want to force the issue. I could be wrong but I don't think so. I'm still willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt but I expect that he will be, in my opinion, a terrible president... only time will tell. I hope I am wrong... J

Like I have repeatedly said, the liberal left can't win the battle of ideas without cheating or taking advantage of the easily fooled.

Rcjames, Re: His first actl the Choosing Rom Emmanuel as Chief of Staff does not give me much hope in anything but a far left looney bin adminstration.. I was 'most' excited by this decision more than anything. Since I moved here from Chicago just before Obama moved there, I knew Rahm Emanuel was an Orthodox Jew who attended the same synagogue as very good friends of mine. His father was born in Jerusalem. So, I thought that since he is to be Chief of Staff which 'often' is in the best position to advise the president other than a wife having his ear, he would definitely advise him for the sake of Israel for the Lord's purposes and prophecy. Never would he let up on that, Israel, I thought. God, His Word and work is more important to me than ANYTHING! Right or Left. Democrat or Republican. Even the USA or me!

I did not vote for McCain, at best I will say I voted against Obama. I really don't see things being any worse with Obama in office as opposed to McCain. I personally had no confidence in McCain. You know this could be the best thing for Christians in America. I for one am not trusting/expecting the men in office to make any decisions that I would consider of a positive Christian nature. That will force me to pray more for my country and examine myself before God and look at where my faith and trust is truly grounded. I have to admit that eight years ago when Bush came into office I thought a great victory had been won for Christians/conservatives. I invisioned our nation returning to God because out leader was supposidly a Christian conservative. I invisioned changes in the legal system for good, I knew for sure that in eight years many conservative federal judges would be appointed to office (and confirmed). On and on, in other words I was trusting in a man to change the country we live in. The Bible teaches that God can change the hearts of kings. Obama is our 'king' for at least the next four years. I for one beleive that God can touch this man's heart. That is something I did not feel towards the other candidate at all. There were many pagan kings in scripture who were sensitive to God, even though they were not Christians themselves, they recognized there was something different about God's people and that made a difference in their decisions.

Milliecat, Re: Rahm Emanuel is an orthodox Jew? I'm positive, according to sources, friends, that you'll find via research that Emanuel is Orthodox Jew and VERY pro-Israel. VERY!!!!!

Milliecat, Re: Why doesn't he wear at least a, I can't spell it so I'll say, beanie? He doesn't wear a lot of black or have a beard. I just remembered, that I know a multi-billionaire that was very much in the media, and he attends synagogue Stephen S Wise out here in California. I was invited there a few years ago, and NOBODY, including the Rabbi, on that occasion I spoke to about Jesus, wore what you mentioned. I'm not sure if Jews have divisions similar to various Christian denominations with different view about even apparel on some occasions.

Our church supports a local Crisis Pregnancy Center. It councils mothers to other alternatives to abortion. I don't know Obama. I don't think anyone really does. I could care less about his skin color. I care about how he leads this nation and the agendas he pushes. If he continually supports evil agandas I am afarid that will color my perception of the man. We shall see.

I think they've been taken over by new management, though... will have to find out where they stand now. our church operates it's own pregnancy crisis center, as one of the many ministries of the church. It's been in ONE location for many years. Just a month or so ago, we purchased a new custom-made motor home type of vehicle, which will visit up to 10 DIFFERENT sites throughout the community a week.... just an idea for those whose local 'crisis pregnancy center' is "pandering" to the wrong people. Your church can just start their own. AND, what a terrific ministry it is. So many have not only gotten assistance when needed during a very turbulent time in their life, but, have been led to Christ, as well.
