Before the election was even done with, Obama apologists Tom Brokaw and Charlie Rose were already laying the groundwork for rejecting him. They are finally catching on to the stuff we conservatives have been yelling from the mountaintops for a year-and-a-half!

Gee, thanks for being honest journalists after the campaigns are ALREADY OVER, you blubbering senile nincompoops! Good Grief what is wrong with liberal's brains?!?!?!?

quote:

ROSE: I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.

BROKAW: No, I don't, either.

ROSE: I don't know how he really sees where China is.

BROKAW: We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.

ROSE: I don't really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?

BROKAW: Yeah, it's an interesting question.

ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches.

BROKAW: Two of them! I don't know what books he's read.

ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?

BROKAW: There's a lot about him we don't know.

Charlie Rose, Evan Thomas, Jon Meacham from Newsweek:
quote:

MEACHAM: He's very elusive, Obama, which is fascinating for a man who's written two memoirs. At Grant Park he walks out with the family, and then they go away.

ROSE: Mmm. Mmm-hmm.

MEACHAM: Biden's back, you know, locked in the bar or something.

ROSE: (haughty chuckle)

MEACHAM: You know, they don't let him out. And have you ever seen a victory speech where there was no one else on stage?

ROSE: Mmm.

MEACHAM: No adoring wife, no cute kid. He is the messenger.

THOMAS: There is a slightly creepy cult of personality about all this. I mean, he's such an admirable --

ROSE: Slightly. Creepy. Cult of personality.

THOMAS: Yes.

ROSE: What's slightly creepy about it?

THOMAS: It -- it -- it just makes me a little uneasy that he's so singular. He's clearly managing his own spectacle. He's a deeply manipulative guy.

--------------

ROSE: Watching him last night in that speech, he finishes --

MEACHAM: Yeah.

ROSE: -- and he sort of -- it's almost like he then ascends to look at the circumstance.

MEACHAM: He watches us watching him.

THOMAS: Watching him!

ROSE: Exactly!

THOMAS: He does --

MEACHAM: It's amazing.

ROSE: It is amazing.

THOMAS: He writes about this metaphor being a screen upon which Americans will project. He said they want of Barack Obama; I'm not sure I am Barack Obama.

ROSE: Mmm!

THOMAS: He had -- he has the self-awareness to know that this creature he's designed isn't necessarily a real person, and he's self-aware enough --

ROSE: Ahhhhhh!

I have some more examples of Obama media disciples denying their messiah already, but I will leave room for others to join in here first.

I'm frankly not surprised. I expect to see more of this in the next few days and weeks. The main stream media in this country are in for a loooong hangover - unfortunately, working-class Americans get to carry the barf bucket.

That is one of the most clever descriptions I have seen yet! Hilarious! Gross, but hilarious!

The liberal media just slays me. Their shiny new toy isn't even out of the package yet, and they are already having buyer's guilt.

Did you ever read Terry Goodknid's book, 'Wizard's First Rule'? The young hero of the story spends the book learning how to be an effective and powerful figure, and eventually his mentor begins teaching him why wizards are so powerful. The wizard's first rule? People are stupid.

Yeah...that was one of my points in our after-election "what do we expect" discussion here...sooner or later the media will grow bored with the fawning. Looks like it's beginning to happen already.

Remember the closing scene of FINDING NEMO? All the fish wanted to get out of that tank sooooo bad, then they succeed, they're floating in the ocean, but still in their plastic baggies (no real "freedom" to speak of), there's a moment of silence, then somebody says, "Now what?"

I get that same impression from Obama supporters....

Thanks for the links. I've been trying to find references to

That must have been that "righteous wind at our backs" Obama kept
referring to.

Still, with all the egg self plastered all over their faces,
they maintain their self-righteousness.

The sarcastic and sardonic usage of the word "Messiah" by some Conservative Christian Crosswalkers to refer to a politician whom they dislike, did not vote for, did not want to see victorious on Nov. 4th, and are now lamenting over as their next president is extremely ironic considering that it's generally such people who fight and talk loudest about defending the Christian faith and its sacret tenets from liberalism and secularism.

I thought the Bible taught there was only one Messiah; He has come, succeeded, and He shall come again - and He would not come in the form of a US president (at least, according to Scripture, and the Bible doesn't disappoint when it comes to the accuracy of its prophecies).

I think it is the belief in the real Messiah that leads to the criticism of false ones.

Hey we didn't start calling him that, his followers did. It's been explained several times that messiah isn't just used for Jesus but simply means savior. 0bama has set himself up as the savior of the world, his words.

Messiah
Noun
1. Judaism the awaited king of the Jews, who will be sent by God to free them
2. Christianity Jesus Christ, when regarded in this role
3. a liberator of a country or people [Hebrew māshīach anointed]

First of all, Obama is definitely NOT the promised
Messiah. Yet, he is chosen of the Lord regarding
a work "God" is doing in the earth. It's surely also
no problem that even supporters don't understand
nor agree with some things. Now, the scripture also
reveals much to us about mankind. We know for a
surety that even those who followed Moses out of
Egypt didn't agree with him in everything, nor did
they understand all. Maybe that's why FEW entered
the Promise Land. We also know that the very apostles
'JESUS' chose didn't understand or agree. Remember
Peter even denied Him "3" times, which he would not
have if he 'fully' understood God's ways at the time.
Things really didn't look right. King of Kings getting
ready to be hung on a cross???? Jesus belonged
on the very 'throne' of David! How if dead??????

I have explained this so many times. You and IMA need to get over it. Messiah is a word. It isn't a magical title or some mysterious secret code. It means anointed or chosen one. It isn't THE name of Jesus, it is A descriptor of Jesus. By your illogical reasoning, we can't ever call a person rabbi, or teacher, or lord, or master, or sensei, or shepherd, or son, or baby, or any dozens of other words that can be used to describe a function fulfilled by Christ. Oh, I guess we'd better stop calling gates "gates" and doors "doors" and vines "vines" too because that might offend Jesus. I wish there was a better eyeroll emoticon.

You are being purposely obtuse and looking for an argument where there needn't be one.

Now, back to real issues, like Obama's disciples denying their new lord.

Did you hear how Obama was laughing with advisors on the campaign trail about how convincingly he sold a fake image to the public? I'll look up the Newsweek link if I get a chance.
