I wish there was a printable version screen page for PM's, just like there is for regular postings.

Hi Ichilban, and welcome to forums, now do you mean a folder for that, or just a regular thread instead?

I just had an idea that may cut down on the amount of new threads created that have to be shuffled to the One Stops.

Can the One Stops be pinned to the top of each board (such as the One Stop Divorce in Marriage, or the One Stop skin color in M&E) that way people can see them right away before they start a new thread that ends up being closed?

Just an idea, however brilliant it may seem to me.

I wish instead of having all the smilies available at one time like previously wished for, it were possible to choose our own 13 that always appear, and the rest be in the separate browser page that loads up.

I like that! Very much!

I also wish that when we ran our cursor across a smilie, it would tell us what the smilie is. Reason: those of us without perfect eyesight sometimes have a hard time figuring out what some of them mean.

I'd like to be able to sort my bookmarks by topic, so that I can find them easier.

I'd like to be able to upload goofy cartoon-like pictures in my posts like the ones some moderators use in their posts. I know that this feature is disabled due to the trolls uploading tos prohibited stuff, but I think that only they (trolls) should not be allowed to post pictures.

Just my two cents. (actually, it's one cent, spread 3 ways, you know share the wealth like Obama wants us to.)

But trolls tend not to admit that they are trolls and so will be able to post ~ and until a mod can deal with the post the cartoon or whatever will be there for all to see...

Now that wouldn't be good for me as I choose smiley's on what I think fits what I am saying and not what the smiley might actually be called.

I wish when opening the printer friendly page on forums that the smiley's would still appear as opposed to just the text inserts of them instead, it is at all possible at all.

I agree with you, Mike!

I also wish that we had the jump to post option in the printer friendly page as well.

Oh, I do, too. But then, I worry that the receiver will take the smilie for what I had intended, not what they had always assumed it meant.

It would sure be great if on a thread that exceeds page 1, that at the bottom of every next post there would be...

page X, post #1234

so that if I am working on catching up in a thread, and post a reply, that I could see my own reply in full-size text after it is accepted... AND... be able to remember what page number to return to. The post number of a thread is great, but trying to divide 1234 by 25 or however many posts are alllowed on a page to return to where you were is not easy. I know there are options of where to return to after posting, yet viewing my own post full size helps me see typos.

Thanks for your thoughts on this one.

When I'm posting a reply before I get to the last page in the thread, I generally open a new window. My reply goes in one window and I still have the thread from where I last read to.

You may also want to 'bookmark' a post, which will take you back to the post you've bookmarked (doesn't have to be your post). If you look at a post the 'bookmark' option is in the bottom left-hand corner with a little blue notepad beside it. You can easily remove bookmarks too.

I wish that once I'm logged in, and my profile says that I'm married, that I don't see ads for dating services. I don't need to see that.

Thanks! A follow-up of same idea. The you've got a PM (at least 1) pop-up window shows up. Clicking yes, if this would open the inbox on a new window would be helpful too. Otherwise the inbox takes over the window of the forums and there's a lot of sleuthing to do to get back to things. I know you can right click inbox after denying the helpful pop-up, but why does anyone want to go through that trouble otherwise if eager to see who it is?

Thanks.

Rayofson, interesting idea. I've thought that way about the youthworker ad with half-shaved guys head- that's what it looks like. We could have personalized sponsor advertising based on profile.

Could it be set so that members could post pics once they reached a certain level ... either senior or super member? Trolls usually don't stick around long enough to ever reach that level.

I wish that there was an option to save a thread/post before it becomes public ~ so that we can work on it or come back to it later.

I wish there was an option where I could post my scattered thoughts and it would put them into constructive and logical sentances, phrases and paragraphs for me....

I wish the forums administrators would consider adding a wap site for those of us with mobile phones capable of accessing it. I know of several posters who have recently acquired such phones, and I own one myself. It would be nice to be able to access a site formatted for them and easily readable from them.
