It has long been a dream of mine to get to sing at the Lester's annual sing at Meramec Caverns. This year we got invited to sing in the saturday afternoon matinee and have already been scheduled next year for friday night on the main stage. I was so excited.......wouldn't you know it. The day finally came and I lost my voice the night before!!!!!! :( But, we had a great time in spite of it. Jimmy, Brad and Wayne sounded great as usual and the wonderful fans seemed very forgiving so all in all it was still an awesome time.....but man I sure wanted to sing bass in a cave!!!!!! :) The DMB's were awesome as usual. Ed is GREAT and the younguns' were very fun to watch. I wouldn't trade this for the world.....but did I mention.....I really wanted to sing bass in that CAVE!!!!! :) I hope most of you get to visit that sing sometime.....The Lester's bring out the best of the best yr after yr......such a great event! So I invite you all to come hear us next yr.....hopefully my dream will be totally fulfilled then! Singing the songs I love, with guys that I love to people that I love.....and yes, singing bass in a cave!

I talked to Geraldine Ragan Monday, and she was leaving Tuesday for Mermec caverns. How did she and Ricky do?

I've never been there for a concert, but every time I'm in there I want to break out in song, just to see how it would sound. I haven't had the courage to try that though. If I could be there alone maybe......

Both Saturday Afternoon groups were great. It was chilly in the caves but the sound was good. Mr. Randy was doing awesome on stage even though no bass was coming out of the sub. On the way home we passed the chinese buffet and was going to do Cracker barrell but Mr. J. jr got McD's. instead. Mom had a sidesalad. Next year we plan to make it to tour the caves. No walking shoes this year.

I sang in the cave for about 6 years in a row. It has to be my all time favorite place to sing!

The Lester's Fall sing at Meramec Caverns is one of the if not the most unique place for a Gospel Singing. The acoustics will actually amaze you and they always have great talent. I have been to several of the Fall sings but it has been at least 8-10 since I wat there last, but great venue, great singing hosted by some great friends of mine.
