My husband was in a devastating motorcycle accident Oct 15th. We spent five days in the ER and trauma unit. He finally went home having broke bones in every limb, six ribs, two vertebrae and a punctured lung. No head trauma, miracle of miracles, he would heal and we are very thankful.
He did well, covered by much prayer, but he relapsed last weekend (Nov 2nd) and we returned to the ER and trauma unit as his back muscles began having spasms and causing him to pass out from the pain. Also some internal bleeding had begun and his blood pressure hit 79 and was dropping, his count was at 19 (normal is 45). The trauma unit is one of the best in the country, but there was so much damage and blood that they were having trouble pinpointing the bleed. So much has happened, but I will keep it brief by saying that God intervened, and just under two hours before exploratory surgery his count started coming back up one notch at a time. But it was enough to cancel the surgery, get him stable and send him home.
He is once again recovering, for which we give God great praise! Please pray for his blood to straighten out, he received six units while in the hospital and his count is still down at 27. Also that all his other injuries will heal well and quickly and completely, and that he will rest and not try to be up and about too soon. He is not one to remain down for long. I'm sure many of you can relate ^_^
Also pray for family and friends to be greatly blessed for all their support and help during this difficult time. My husband's best friend came by and fixed a leak in our roof, people have sent meals and helped to get my teens to work and school allowing me to remain with my husband in the trauma unit, and tons of email/texts poured in offering encouragement and help with anything we might need. Not just at the start of the crisis, but consistently over the past three weeks. We are truly blessed and ask that you would agree for God's blessing to be returned a hundred times over to the people of God. They were definitely the hands and feet and voice of Christ to our family at a very difficult time.
There were times when I got alone and kinda lost it from all the fear and hurt of the situation, but there were times that I found myself amazed at the peace that overwhelmed me and gave me the strength to endure all that was necessary. Prayer is so powerful, it's like a nuke, such a hidden assault against the enemy, so seemingly small, atomic and tiny in size, but a devastation to the darkness when it is unleashed. It's crazy how God rushes in to answer and with power. He loves us. We're his kids and he's not gonna let the darkness push against us without a fight. This life isn't paradise yet, it's a war zone, it hurts alot, but God's on our side and we win every time.
We should all pray more.

Lord thank you for the healing you have provided for selagirls husband.
Thank You for when things looked dim you had a different plan,
Lord I pray you continue to intervene for this husband.
I pray you will heal the brokenness in his body,help him to deal emotionally,and keep him uplifted spiritually,In Jesus Name
Lord I pray for a compete physical healing of every area of his body.
Thank you Lord for the showing of encouragement and support they have received from people.
There are so many that go through the trials in their life without any encouragement.
I pray Lord for your blessings in selahgirls family and all the families which have been their for them.
Thank You Lord for the plans you have for selahgirls husband and for watching over him through this time.
May the light of your love and healing shine in this husbands life.

We had a bit of a scare last night. His back muscles began tightening again and tried to go into spasms again. It took a good three hours or more of ice and then heat to control the blood flow and then relax the muscles. He has several specialists who were not in agreement whether heat or cold would be better. So we prayed and did the best we could. He made it thru the night just fine. No spasms Praise God!
Thank you for your prayers and faithfulness in intercession. The people of God, my precious friends and family. I look forward to eternity... the day when the Lord introduces us all to one another, and we can just chill and chat about all the amazing things that God has done and continues to do ^_^

He went to the doc yesterday and his blood count is up to 38, yay! The doctors said that they NEVER expected his count to jump so high so soon. God continues to answer prayer so powerfully. Bunches of love to all of you who are praying, whether you posted or not. The CW family is pretty incredible.
The doc also found that there had been a pretty serious oversight concerning his injuries, largely due to him having so many injuries. We had been asking for a week about his back muscle that was causing most of the pain, but no one examined it closely until yesterday. The doc said that because of the brace and so many different specialists involved, it was assumed he had had a thorough exam. But it seems that he also may have torn his Latissamus muscle loose as well. It has caused a mass a little smaller than a volley ball on his back, and great discomfort. The surgery to repair it would be very complicated, because it would have to be reattached in 10-12 places. And the recovery would be somewhat complicated as well, as he would not be able to use the muscle until it had healed. It is a very large muscle in your back. Please keep that in prayer as well as his separated shoulder. Please pray that the doctors would receive great wisdom in treating him, and that his recovery would be complete.

You can do anything. The impossible does not exist for You. I am agreeing in prayer with everyone for healing and help.
Wrap Your Everlasting Arms around selagirl and her husband and hold them close through this whole ordeal.
Lord, I am asking that you heal his body quicker than doctors believe possible if it is Your will.
Give selagirl strength and comfort as she stands by his side.
Keep sending friends to help with the children and all of the day-to-day matters.
Lord, you know what selagirl and her husband need.
Please provide for them as You see fit and I pray that all will be for Your honor and glory.

My husband had his MRI last night, took over two hours. wow. We won't have the results back until next tuesday or wednesday. His energy is up (tho some of it is because he pushes himself terribly), and he has weaned himself off of the pain meds again (of coarse). He did good resting for a week, but there's no tying him down longer than that. He started driving himself to work again this week. He comes home absolutely exhausted, but refreshed in a sense to be regaining some normalsy to his life. They originally said four to six weeks in the back brace, so he is looking for permission from the docs to shed it completely any time now.
His work has been incredible. The staff all donated their own time off to allow him a couple weeks to recover. I was talking on the phone last night to a friend in another state. When she asked how things were going with his work, I began to cry unexpectedly as I began to testify to God's goodness and the kindness of the people that work with my husband. Employers and friends of that character are such a rare thing these days, and we acknowledge that we have been very blessed by them. What perfect timing, what a wonderful way to start the holiday season, to witness the goodness of so many people. I think that is the most beautiful thing that God has brought from this whole difficult experience... to be overwhelmed by the fact that there REALLY ARE alot of good people in the world these days. Beauty for ashes, God has a way of bringing it. I have found the love of so many friends to be extremely humbling <3
We go back to the docs in the coming weeks to see about repairing the muscle in his back and repairing his shoulder. He still has a good deal of recovery ahead, but your prayers continue to be speeding things along. Thank you so much. Love to everyone. The people of God are so very precious.
