I am sorry to see that I am getting scams for money on this site. I think this lady needs to know who we work for. I am disapointed that we are getting scam e-mails on this site and there is no wasy to report it to a moderator

Do you mean PM's (private messages) or actual emails sent to you directly?

If they are actual emails then either:

a) don't list an email address in your public profile

or

b) you can't be certain they were sent to you because of this website

I have never received any emails from this website that were of the junk mail nature.

Also, there is indeed a way to let the admin/moderators of this forum know. There are even entire sub-forums dedicated to them answering your questions and concerns.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done to prevent it. We don't know who the spammers are going to be until they start sending out such PM's and the recipients tell us about it.

To report this person, please go to any forums post (that isn't your own - doesn't matter whose) and click the Report link. Copy the web address of the PM, the URL you have while reading the PM. Also copy the sender's name/nickname and as much of the PM as you can fit into the report. Once you've submitted the report, the mods will handle it from there.

Sorry this happened to you.

I for one have never gotten a scam or a request for monies that could even remotely be related to the forums.

Maybe everyone knows I am broke.

Thanks
RC

Can you give me any information as to who this scammer is? an e-mail address? a URL? anything? If you choose, you may send me a PM via the website.

Why?

RC - they usually target the new members of the forums, not the veterans.
