'...Give ear to my words, O LORD; give heed to my sighing. Listen to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I pray. O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch.'(Psalms 5:1-3) Anticipate a Challenge, the[His]next one.

when I was in H.S. I was involved in sooooooo many things, at least 4 bible studies, a travelling church choir, I taught sunday school, ran sound for the gospel businessman's meetings, played the offertory a lot (way more than I wanted to), and I wanted to do more. I prayed about it, and then it hit me - from being involved in a couple different churches, I learned that there were several foster homes in the area. with no invitation, no warning, I just drove to one. I knew the couple and they knew me and were happy that i was there, just to hang out with the kids. In no time at all, there were 8 homes that I visited on a regular basis, and some of my friends were joining me, I would get calls from other foster homes inviting me and my friends.... it was a blast. A very good memory, and I am very thankful for that time.

Give of your time. Give of your talents. Your compassion, your love and of yourself. The odd smile, a helping hand, or a shoulder to cry on. All these are gifts we can give those less fortunate than ourselves. And be thankful to the Lord for making us able to give freely as freely we have received.
